I had to update my aquarium filter, as my old submersible filter had recently killed two gold fishes within a month of each other, because the food gets built up between the filter and tank. So I desperately needed a new filter, as it was my duty of care to keep my other three gold fishes alive. In all my experience having fishes as pets, using all the cheap non-filter brands (as buying equipment can get a bit pricey) I did however spent a bit more on a filter last year buying a Blue Planet brand - it was a good filter right up to September and October of this year when the accidents happen. Well its just a small filter as I only have a small fish tank, but it is doing well so far.

these are the best filters because if you use two you can change the carbon in one whilst leaving the other one running.
