The filter has only been running for a few days but it seems well made, was simple to set up and there's plenty of room for media above and beyond what's included. It was a little noisy for the first couple of days but it's settled down to a gentle background hum now. I using it on a 175-litre 4' tank and the plants look like they're waving in a gentle breeze, which is exactly what I was hoping for.

I have found that the tank uptake pipes are inadequate.Either the smaller diameter is the incorrect size or the "O" Ring used on one end is the incorrect size and allows significant slippage connecting to the larger pipe.I have used another piece of tubing to make an interface, but it is only moderately successful.Other than the above I feel that this filter should have a control valve fitted to the hoses to adjust the flow rates.Best Regards

The item I purchased does not work so I wasted my money and I won't be returning to your store. You got your money out of me for a faulty product. I won't recommend your store to my family or friends!
Great canister filter with lots of media space and endless media options, good flow @ 1mtr head, easy priming and near silent operation. Fits into an AquaOne AR620 cabinet just which I have just retro fitted it to my AR620T tropical fresh tank through the existing hood filter which took minimum effort really. My heavily stocked and planted tank has never been so clear or stable as it is now, would highly recommend this product for heavily stocked aquaria or people that just want a decent sized hassle free low maintenance filter. 10/10 AquaOne.
I love this Aqua One canister filter system, it keeps the water crystal clear & you don't have that never ending chore of cleaning out your filter system every few days with a smaller filter system. It only needs cleaning once a month depending on how many fish you have & the size of your aquarium, highly recommend product. Second to none in my book, thanks for this amazing Aqua One canister filter system. Cheers!
Already own a Nautilus 1400 and also have 2 other canister filters from different manufacturers. The Aqua One Nautilus is by far the best - well worth the extra money. It is powerful yet quiet and performs as you would expect. Shut off valve works fine and there are absolutely no leaks. I find sequentially tilting it slightly onto each corner (whilst running) after cleaning and priming gets rid of any residual air trapped in the head unit that can otherwise generate noise.

As I have now set up another Turtle tank now which is slightly bigger, I have now purchased the Aqua One Nautilus 1400. I would expect this Filter to live up to the Reputation and Ease of use that I have previously encountered. The only negatives that I have had with both filters is the so called starting/priming pump. Absolutely useless! It is far easier to just stick the garden hose up the Intake Pipe to start it up. Also the ridiculous cost of the Final Filter Pad. The same Filter Medium can be found at Spotlight at about a twentieth of the cost. They come with a reasonable amount of media but there is definitely room for more and better quality bio media if you wanted to switch some out. The hoses are long and the priming is easy. The fittings are all cheap and plastic looking but the hoses and filter itself feel like good quality material. The flow rate is very strong and perfect for my messy Oscars on my 200L tank, by looking at the flow rate it would also suit a 300L or a lightly stocked 400L. Firstly, very expensive $123.00 Some elements of the filter do not work. Purchased a replacement $200.00 Rep delivered and gave some feeble excuse for the unit not satisfactory. Run unit for a couple of days and it did not meet my expectations.
