Always kinks and basically useless

Always kinks and basically useless. Cheap to buy but is a waste of money. Used it with a pump and the kinks are so bad the pump pressure can not even unkink the hose. Avoid and spend more money instead.

Bought this hose a couple weeks ago after deciding to ignore the negative reviews. The hose is so cheap, comes with all the attachments you would need (even the screw on connection to the house tap!), and taking a little time to unroll it properly it won’t kink!I’ve been keeping in the garage because, like anything after time, it’ll dry out in the sun! Haven’t had a problem. Not sure what everyone else expects from this price point, if you’re in a rush to unroll it and want to leave it outside, you’ll have to pay more, otherwise this hose is great! And if you’ve read about the ends popping off the hose, I’ve not had that issue, but I live in regional Vic and the water pressure is pretty low, otherwise I’d just turn it on and off at the tap.A hose that does ... MoreBought this hose a couple weeks ago after deciding to ignore the negative reviews. The hose is so cheap, comes with all the attachments you would need (even the screw on connection to the house tap!), and taking a little time to unroll it properly it won’t kink!I’ve been keeping in the garage because, like anything after time, it’ll dry out in the sun! I wish I had bothered to check the reviews online before buying this hose. I only needed it to be a pretty basic hose. It had to stretch the width of a standard driveway, and that was about it. But it couldn't manage it. The first time I used it the fittings burst off one end the second I turned the hose on. I jammed them back on again, but then the fittings at the other end burst off. It would have been less frustrating to just throw $9 in the bin than waste my time with this thing.

Good for the money

I’ve been buying these hoses for the last 5+ years. I normally get a few years out of them. They do kink if ur not careful. When you roll them up you have to twist and roll them at the same time to avoid the kink. The connectors are ok but can blow off over time. Best way around that is to cut about 50mm off the end of the hose and reattached them. For the price of $7 u can’t really complain. They do the job.

I'd buy it again

I read all the reviews before buying and I still have it a chance. If you don't have the tap on all the way, maybe 20% on, then it's fine. I managed to wash my car with it. It'll work and you're honestly getting your money's worth. Attached is a photo of how hard the water pressure gets before the plastic hose clamps burst.

It's a garbage.

The attachment came off as soon as I turned on the tab. After that I couldn't attach the hose again because inside plastic is all twisted. There is no hole there that water can flow. I cut little bit but still no hole, all twisted plastic. It is really weird. Pay little bit more and buy better quality. Too bad I have to give one star.

It’s a hose

I think people fail to understand the notion of “you get what you pay for”. You’ll see the common response by dissatisfied reviewers is the quality of the fittings; to these people I say, come on people! What do you expect for $6.50? Don’t get me started on the dramatic review culminating with a picture of the hose in the bin…The hose is thin walled and the fittings are the cheapest of cheap. I don’t know why Bunnings sell stuff this flimsy but I would be happy if they sold just the hose for $6, then you can listen for all the cheapskates to whine at having to pay for seperate fittings. Me, I’ve used these hoses for several different tasks, and have always been successful. Yeah, the hose kinks easily if you drag it around without being careful.. it’s $6. Me, I’ve used these hoses for several different tasks, and have always been successful. Yeah, the hose kinks easily if you drag it around without being careful.. it’s $6. Yes, the fittings are probably best transferred straight from the store to the bin, but I’ve had success using them in at times (but I don’t rely on them). These are great hoses for when you need a remote drain, like in a camping/caravanning situation, but I bought my first one to use as a drain for a temporary dehumidifier setup; I could run a line straight to the bathroom floor drain and never have to worry about emptying containers (this was fantastic for when I was away for 6 weeks and the house was all closed up). I’ve also used them for multiple sprinklers when new turf was laid, and for setups for the kids to play in. When it’s not trying to hold high pressures the fittings work fine. But I’m very satisfied considering it cost me pennies for the same result as what would have cost me a fortune.I haven’t left any out until he sun, but I wouldn’t EXPECT it to be particularly UV resistant at this price point. But, then again, who am I to expect a limited level of quality relative to the price I pay for it ;)Does it work? Yes. It it fragile? Yes. Would I use it as an everyday garden hose? Absolutely not. Would I buy them again? Absolutely, buy I have several rolled up in the shed that still seem to have their flexibility after several years, so I don’t need to.Manage your expectations and you won’t be disappointed.

Not Even Close to Acceptable Performance and Quality

I do not want to be harsh but unfortunately I must agree with the bad reviews. I bought this thinking I live in an apartment and so the only thing I need it for is cleaning the balcony once a week. I considered buying it thinking people might not be getting good enough results due to the work they require it with, so, hopefully, my experience will differ. For real? I wish I had listened to the bad reviews. The description does not match this hose's functionality for instance, the hose CONNECTOR IS NOT FITTED AT ALL as water kept bursting/leaking out from the connector. It's bad enough that it mentioned 'ideally' for gardening and car washing etc. so it's so much worse that I couldn't even use it on a balcony. I don't think it even deserves to be retailed if it ... MoreI do not want to be harsh but unfortunately I must agree with the bad reviews. What was I thinking?
16 February 2022

Needed a new hose so went to Bunnings. Huge range from $100+ down to $6:50. Went for the Aqua Systems as it came with all the fittings for the price of a large latte. Looked like good value so what could go wrong? Everything it seems. First, the screw on connector split with only hand tightening. Next, the whole hose established permanent kink spots as I uncoiled it. Other added features are leaking fittings & fittings blowing off. The bonus feature is the nozzle that pops off regularly when the trigger is released. The only redeeming quality of this "DeLorean" of hoses is that it will keep the landfill employees in a job. Lesson: You wouldn't buy a car for $200, so don't spend $6:50 on this "hose".

Worse than useless
30 October 2021

Like most reviewers, my hose did not last long. The connectors wouldn’t stay on, so I replaced them with old spares that I had. The supplied trigger gun is flimsy and only has one flow pattern, which is not spray. I used another brand trigger gun and, guess what, under medium pressure the hose burst.I now read other reviews from months ago, all with similar complaints. This defective product should not be on sale at Bunnings.
