Having researched computers in some depth I decided on this highly acclaimed unit. Have used it extensively on a recent trip to Rajat Ampat, I was most impressed with its functionality ease of use and clarity under water. I was surprised that the computer is even more conservative than my Suunto D4i however only marginally. The battery life is great and so easy to charge. The ability to set everything up from your phone using the app made setting up the computer a doddle. Really rate this and will suit any non tech diver of any capability.

I’ve owned and used the i700 (with tank transmitter) for 12 months and now is the time to review it following several dives.Great display - very clear and bright displayBattery life is excellent. Quick to charge as and whenGreat app for the iPhone including set upAuto calibration for altitude divesComfortable when worn over a wetsuit/dry suit - but not if on your wrist. The strap is course! My own issue with the i700 (unlike the D5 that I also own) is you can’t mix imperial/metric. I want the flexibility to choose psi, metres and centigrade and the i770 won’t let me in set it. (Aqualung seemed disinterested with the feedback). Also I’ve had to fit the transmitter on a hose to extend its coverage as on more than one occasion I lost all signal and had to keep ... MoreI’ve owned and used the i700 (with tank transmitter) for 12 months and now is the time to review it following several dives.Great display - very clear and bright displayBattery life is excellent. This is a stunning computer. It's very easy to read and navigate the menu and functions. The bright colour display is fantastic....it really does set it apart from many other computers. If there was one thing I would like to add it would be an led on the transmitter to show glass pressure status as now a few others have..but in all honesty it's not really necessary, just an extra that would be nice to have really. If your looking for an air integrated recreational dive computer that's simple to use, easy to read and looks great then this is the one to go for....simply put it's a great computer. Only rated it 4 stars because there's no led on the transmitter and not for any other reason

Aqualung i770R DC/Transmitter
18 October 2021

I'm very happy with the Aqualung i770R DC/Transmitter. I just got back from a 6day dive trip to the keys where I finished up my Nitrox training. Got in 2 dives a day, 8 dives, 2 deep dives, 3 on Nitrox. One thing I hadn't plained on was my older regulator didn't have another high pressure fitting for the transmitter. So I now have a new regulator as well. Still learning how to down load and save my dives in the DiveLog app. Already plaining for my next training trip and getting another new rating.

Computer Up Grade
22 May 2021

My Oceanic Atom 3.1 served my well for several years, but it was time for an updated computer. I chose the i770R for its size, color screen and ease of accessing the functions. I?Äôm currently in Cozumel and have used it on 8 dives and love it!!! The only recommendation would be to develop a non-reflective screen protector. With the factory screen protector, you get a glare in some positions, but a small rotation on the wrist allows full view. Super happy with my purchase ?üòÉ

Good DC with good colors. Not big enough for me.
14 April 2018

I really liked this DC. I purchased it as an upgrade for my Cressi Leonardo (which I still have and love and will use as a backup). I needed something that was bigger and easier to read under water. The colors were very nice and it felt like a very solid piece of equipment. However, I can’t give it 4 stars because I never dove with it, so I can’t speak to the accuracy. I ended up sending it back to exchange for the Suunto Eon Core. It simply wasn’t big enough for me. II would recommend based on features but not experience.

Great Computer!
14 November 2018

As a recent returner to Diving I wasn't sure if I wanted to spend this much money or continue using my Garmin smart watch. But - this is a serious piece of kit with an abundance of features that I am still discovering. For me the main attraction is the the crisp screen with ultra clear readings in a very nicely sized unit. That and the seamless pairing of the transmitter time after time with no issues. It does a lot more than I need for now but I am definable future - proofed ! Very highly recommended !!

IT'S JUST OK

I HAD HIGH HOPES BUYING THIS COMPUTER...IT WORKS FINE...THE DOWNSIDE IS THE RECHARGEABLE BATTERY...I DIDN'T DIVE FOR A YEAR AND STORED THE DEVICE FULLY CHARGED BUT...WHEN I WENT TO USE IT THE BATTERY WAS DEAD WOULD NOT CHARGE AND THE COMPUTER HAD TO BE REPLACED! MY GO PRO ALSO STORED FOR OVER A YEAR WITH FULL CHARGE...THE BATTERY WAS DEAD BUT RECHARGED WITH NO PROBLEM!

Much better than 750
23 February 2019

Replaced my Aqua Lung i750 with the i770 due to not being able to see the screen in any sunlight. The i770 does not have that issue and is easily legible in the light. I have dived with it up to over 100 feet with no issues. The way it interacts with the phone app is great and you can adjust the computer and download the dives onto your iPhone or iPad. I really like it. Very legible underwater. Holds charge well through up to 30 dives. Not for tech diving but should be good for anyone that does recreational diving.

Stopped Working Aqualung offered NO help
24 March 2023

It worked for about 2 years then stopped. I brought it into a local dive shop that services aqua lung. They tested the transmitter and my computer and determined it was the transmitter that stopped working. The dive shop reached out to Aqua Lung multiple times to try and determine if there was a part that could be replaced or anything that AL would be willing to do to help outside of the warranty but AL was unwilling to offer any assistance. Since it was past the warranty Aqualung said there was nothing they could do. Wouldnt even offer me a discount to purchase a new one. My dive shop thought this was very unfair so they offered me a discount to buy a new one. Love my dive shop and their service.
