Good quality product. My grandson loves playing with it. It can be used inside and outside . He has had hours of fun playing with this - would highly recommend.

Compact and portable

I found this quick to assemble- you add the self adhesive seal strips to the clips, then click the trays and clips together- done!Easy to pull apart and I love that it turns into a carry case and is portable. Make sure to follow the instructions though, as a couple of the yellow pieces form the base so nothing falls out!You do have to hold the water pump in place. My daughter and husband can get the pump to work but I never seem to be able to

Great fun!

Bought this as a xmas present for my near 3 year old, he totally loves it. I would totally recommend. Lost a star due to some issues... 1. A couple of the accessories come off when playing with them (gates and crane) 2. I never read the instructions so this might be my fault but the box doesnt close properly when storing and 3. Same thing about instructions but needing to empty it it takes two ppl as it splits in the middle. Granted this is for outdoors but as we don’t have the weather (n.ireland) ours gets used indoors.Don’t let those silly things put you off, I still think it’s fab and will be buying 2 more as presents! Kids get great play out of it.

Great fun, compact and fascinating for everyone who likes playing in or near water.

Good for all ages, indoors or out if you don't mind your kitchen getting a bit wet. Children gradually learn the principal of canals and locks - boats can't sail up or down hill so locks have to be pumped full and them emptied. Too early to know whether the seals holding the sections together will be as robust as the rest of the system but it all looks pretty good in the first fortnight. Clever design encouraging owners to buy extensions to system but this basic set is satisfying and manageable for children aged 4-8. Simple mechanical pump and paddle easy to use without any batteries or electronic noises, just children's chatter. Good value if it proves as robust as it looks.

Great idea but has two flaws
24 March 2022

I bought this today for my 2 year old and he absolutely loves it. I'm 26 and I've been having great fun aswell. The thing is the pump doesn't have a clip to keep it still so you have to hold it and pump at the same time which was difficult even for me. The second thing is the gap in the middle doesn't have a water barrier to stop the water flowing out but that was minimal when we played today. Overall I'd recommend it to others

Great water play toy
6 May 2020

Read the reviews and was debating buying this, but saw more pro's than con's so finally purchased. My 5 year old loves water and boats. You need to make sure you stick the seals firmly in the joining parts as this will seal it correctly for the water to stay in the lock.when in use. When closing the lockbox, make sure the gates are angled across the holes as in the instructions and this will ensure no pieces fall out when storing. The joining clips can be stiff to put on and off initially but they will get easier the more it is used. I prefer this aquaplay set as it is easy to set up, you can take it away with you when you visit family or on holiday. Great play toy for learning about locks and imaginative play

Misleading this does not fold away
14 June 2021

Love the concept. Grandson loved playing with the water. The pump isn’t very sturdy and needs to be held in place. The crane comes loose easily. It is a great idea though and I bought this specifically as I thought it folded away into it’s case to be stored. YOU CAN NOT CARRY THIS CASE WITH THE HANDLE. The base is open so everything falls straight out. I can’t see the point of the handle as this would have to be stored flat. Wouldn’t be easy to take this to the park or beach. Really sad about this!! :-(

Nice toy
17 March 2022

It's a nice idea and my 3 year old does love it. However there are a few issues. Firstly I had to take the first one back as the external clips were missing. They were also missing from others in store. Secondly the pump supplied was the wrong one for this kit so now the manufacturer is having to send a replacement. I like that you can click it together with other sets however it does mean it doesn't actually work as a storage box because there are two giant holes at the bottom where all the bits fall out!

Simple but lots of fun!
4 July 2022

Simple but great product. I thought it might be a bit babyish for my 4 year old, but he and his 6 year old brother love it and have played with it daily since getting it. Even their cousins age 8 and 9 enjoyed playing with it - clearly water play has a very wide appeal. It was straightforward to set up, haven't actually packed it away since so can't comment on it's portability though.

Waste of money
12 July 2020

What an absolute waste of money. Took ages to put together. The instructions were useless. It doesn't come apart easy nor does it keep the parts in when you finally get them in and "lock" the outer case parts together making it absolutely no good as a portable toy, which was the whole reason i bought it. Really disappointed with it. As is my son who has absolutely no interest in waiting for it to be put together.
