I was trying to decide between the Patagonia jacket versus this one for years but after buying+wearing this jacket everyday for a winter, I am certain I made the right decision. Firstly, I think it looks very nice. It found it difficult to find a woman's puffy that didn't aggressively create the "hourglass shape" with a tight torso and having it flare out at the bottom. This doesn't do that at all. It is very warm, comfortable and packs down. Even though it's puffy, I can easily layer my shell over it too :)

My favorite jacket! It’s perfect for 30-40 (Fahrenheit) weather as it insulates from the cold. I got it in the blue color, and it is beautiful. Slightly darker in person, but still a great color. I like how it also can be condensed into the little baggie that comes with the jacket.
This is a beautiful jacket that has a lovely, light feel to it. However, it's made very tight in the chest area, with little space for layering. And it didn't keep me warm when the temperatures dipped to -5 degrees outside. My arms in particular got cold after about 20 minutes of walking outdoors. I wouldn't recommend this jacket for folks whose bodies tendto run on the cold side -- unless you simply want to wear it on mild winter days. (I returned this jacket to the store.)
