Arc'teryx jacket is advertised on Arc'teryx site as: "it delivers lasting waterproof, windproof, breathable protection." The jacket is not breathable, nor does it keep you warm or breathe when sweating after running for 30-plus minutes. Also, the right sleeve cuff is smaller than right cuff, cutting off blood in right wrist and hand. We went back and forth, Arc'teryx sent links telling us to read the Arc'teryx's website jacket description which is as quoted above. We spent time researching Arc'teryx jackets due it being an investment. Long story "short," Arc'teryx will not replace the jacket. We're out $400.00! Arc'teryx suggested two lower priced jackets however, would not swap one in return for Beta jacket. Warning: do not purchase this jacket unless it is warranted by company its' purchased from. It is a very cheap jacket, ridiculously priced. Never will purchase an Arc'teryx product. Buyer Beware!

8 hours paddling in Yukon during a torrential downpour. At the end of the day I was the only person with dry clothes.I was wearing a hat and easily rolled the hood inside to prevent pooling. The large side pockets are easily accessible to the point I could access them without taking off my PFD. Cuffs closed easily and prevented any rain from going into my sleeves. Barely sweat despite working to paddle, wearing my PFD, and 20 degree temperature. Literally shook it dry after the fact. Best rain jacket I've ever owned.

Fantastic Versatile Jacket
21 August 2024

I was very hesitant to spend 500 dollars on a rain jacket, however I was very pleasantly surprised with this purchase. This jacket fits very well and is versatile. I am 6'1" 150lbs so I'm relatively slim, but this jacket fits if you feel chilly and decide to wear a big bulky hoodie. The waterproofing is perfect as advertised, and I'm looking forward to giving it more use when I'm on the pacific coast. Since purchasing, I put the exclusive grand opening iron on patch to the right shoulder, which looks pretty badass in my opinion. 10/10 would recommend for those interested

Fantastic support!
27 March 2024

This is not a review about the jacket - I've owned it for 7 years (I guess it was called Beta SL Hybrid Jacket then), and it was the best jacket I've ever owned.I contacted the support team because I noticed that the seams were starting delaminate, which after 7 years of use, I was not surprised about. I just wanted to know how to repair them myself, or if they'd repair it for me. Instead, they sent me a gift card to cover the entire amount (tax, shipping) for me to purchase a brand new Beta Jacket. I was shocked that Arc'Teryx is willing to stand behind their product after 7 years of usage! Their products are a bit expensive - I think we all know that - but after this experience, why would I consider any other brand? THANK YOU!

Great Replacement for the Zeta
10 January 2024

First let me say how easy it was too work with the Arc Service team. My Zeta jacket from a few years ago had some issues, so I was sent a credit with no questions within a few weeks. This made it very simple for this swap.I was worried about replacing my previous jacket with the Beta because the reviews I read stated that the Beta was shorter than the Zeta. I am 6'4", 275lbs and the Beta fits PERFECTLY. There is plenty of room with just a tee or baselayer under this jacket, and fits like a glove with a hoodie or sweatshirt underneath. I couldn't be happier with the fit. This jacket seems like it's lighter than the Zeta which is another plus because it will make this jacket more comfortable in the spring and rainy summer days. The quality seems top notch, but I ... MoreFirst let me say how easy it was too work with the Arc Service team. Not much to say about fabrics and waterproofing. After checking a lot of information, it is said that the new beta jacket has been upgraded for 80 days, which is more wear-resistant, and a search and rescue locator has been added. I feel that the new model is worth entering. In terms of workmanship, this one of mine is made in Canada. The bird logo embroidery is full and the glue is neatly pressed inside. First of all, the length of the clothes is just right, and the back can be covered to the middle and lower position of the buttocks. The hem is very good whether it is worn normally or tightened. Secondly, the bust is also suitable. It's just right to wear thick fleece inside. atom heavyw can zip up and it won't be very crowded. cerium down will not work. If there is a need to add down inside, it is recommended to buy a bigger size.

Unbelievably poor customer service
15 February 2024

I had a full de-lamination of the glue that holds the seams onto my jacket and sent it back. The team at Arc'teryx re-glued the seam tape and sent it back. When it delaminated a second time, this time the GLUED IN ZIPPERS falling off the jacket, I attempted to warrantee it again. I was rejected for warrantee because they only will warrantee a product once. When I pointed out that the product was defective from the start and I shouldn't be punished for that, the team was unmoved. Arc'teryx products are some of the most expensive gear on the market. For that price they should stand by their products, especially when it shows signs of factory defect. Apparently that is not how they operate! I will shop elsewhere for my outdoor products from now on.

Very handsome jacket
25 September 2024

BETA is the most classic and best-selling series of Archaeopteryx. JACKET can be regarded as the basic entry model in BETA. It adopts three-layer N30p Gore- tex waterproof breathable membrane and incorporates gore-knit lining technology. The overall feel is softer, with low noise and good air permeability, but the wear resistance and scratch resistance are weak. There is no underarm breathable zipper, which is more suitable for hiking, hiking, commuting and other environments. It can be used as an outer layer protection and is very handsome to match.
