I'd gotten away from the classic Arizona style in the past few years, and these shoes are a good reminder of why I loved them in the first place. They're comfortable straight out of the box and they look adorable. I have Morton's neuromas in both feet and I also have uncooperative arches. I can stand and walk all day long at school without problems in Birks. I like the gold color with the big buckle. They're slightly snazzier than my usual brown leather. The gold and the buckles kick it up a notch.

I tried the narrow version and the regular/wide but the straps in both are too long for my feet. My feet don't have enough "volume" to fit and I would have to punch more holes in the straps to try to get them to fit. Also, the way my toes splay out, they are not structured to fit the footbed. However, the footbed did feel very comfortable while just standing still. They are just not designed to fit my feet. I also prefer having a heel strap like the Milano but I have the same problem with the shape of the footbed - my outside toes spread out over the outside edge of the footbed.

I love my Birk Giselle sandals and my Boston slides but wanted a more supportive summer sandal and decided to go with these classics. When I was young (many years ago) and Birks were only worn by “hippies” (I grew up in the South when Preppy was big), I thought these sandals were hideous and how would anyone with style ever wear them? Fast forward 40 years and after eating my words, here I am proudly wearing mine! Because, they are sexy ugly and sooo comfy. And truth be told, I am a little hippy and def not preppy! Summer staple forever!

Bought these online forgetting that DSW only sells narrow Birkenstocks online. Whomp whomp. The description says medium width, but the sandal box notes narrow, and they are definitely a narrow fit. My feet are average, and my heels were spilling over the heel cup. Returning these and purchasing from the Birkenstock store because DSW doesn’t sell my desired color (copper) in store in a regular/wide width. Hoping I remember next year and don’t make the same mistake a 3rd time, lol! Definitely a beautiful sandal if you have a narrow foot! Super recommend. I’m on my 3rd pair of the regular/wide fit, and I love them.
Sadly I had to return them. I am a size 5 and tbf they were perfect size. The quality I felt, wasn't the birkenstock feel I know, it felt strange. I loved the brown colour. This colour would go with anything and I chose it as something different to black! I have seen this colour being worn with different outfits and thought 'yeah' that's lovely.. SADLY, I returned them as the narrow is narrow! And they were very uncomfortable. The material felt a bit weird to me too, almost plastic/lino/pretend leather, that was my first impression btw ~ not for me but I would def recommend people try...
This is my second pair of the Arizona metallic soft slides. I bought the silver in 2017 and loved them, and they are in magnificent condition. But yesterday my 85 year-old Mom decided she liked them alot…so now those are hers and I got the copper/rose gold. They are divine! Same lovely cushion, which is why they’re great for Mom. But the color is stunning!!! Interestingly enough, my incredibly stylish husband said he never liked the silver on me, that this color is much more flattering to my skin tone. Who knew? So it’s a win-win! Yay for me. A terrific birthday present, too!
When I first bought these, they were the most uncomfortable sandals I have ever worn!!! The cork/foot bed was HARD! Worn for long periods of time in the beginning, my feet started to hurt walking in them. I had to change my shoes to get a break!!! I use to think "why does everyone say these are comfortable in reviews, are they crazy and who would waste their money on these?!?!?" I almost gave up in wearing them then I was considering how the sandals were quite costly, and I couldn't return them anyways. I am glad I did not give up, but I also had no choice. After the sandals were broken in, they are the most comfortable sandals you can ever wear!!! After the sandals were broken in, they are the most comfortable sandals you can ever wear!!! I walked through Disneyland all day (and you now how much walking that is) in them as they mode onto your feet and the footbed will soften. I loved them so much that I bought a second pair which I am in pain now wearing them on and off, but I know it won't be painful when they are broken in. Once the footbed/cork soften, it feels like pillows on your feet!
I’ve seen these since high school back in the 90s. I’m flat footed and my wife and I each bought a pair to try. They are absurdly overpriced for cork and glue! 120 bucks. Since we work from home I wore mine everyday for 3 months. Super painful. I even wear orthotics but these were so painful to break in. After two months I got them where they were actually great and I thought to myself, this is what people talk about in terms of birks being so great, comfortable and formed to my feet. At 4 months the sole started separating. At 6 months they were no longer wearable and fell apart. Not to mention as they break in you have to keep punching holes in the strap. Absolutely garbage. I can’t believe people love these so much. The 5 star reviews must be wearing them lightly ... MoreI’ve seen these since high school back in the 90s. I can’t believe people love these so much. The 5 star reviews must be wearing them lightly and not all day every day. I still have an original pair of champs from 10yrs ago with toe loop and they have been worn hiking for years. I looked into resoling these but it costs 100 bucks so what’s the point?
I got all leather sandals that has color all over and foot bed area. The leather seems good quality and pretty colors from pink to shiny blank or beige. Ah I was hoping these would work but first pair gave me pain in the middle of arch area. The second pair was cutting to top of my foot and leaving red marks too. A discomfort and cut is a big no. How did these pass QA? over $170 for painful sandals. An illusion of beauty. They run small and I had to size up to 10 instead of usual 9. The sole of shoe smells like that tire or roofing tar. They could’ve done better. I have went with crock as usual and softer leather with big buckle. Much better.
First of all sizing is off the way they have them listed especially for those olive color that I Got. Size 41 should be listed as 10 as what the actual box shows after I had to exchange it. I clicked on 10 here and that is showing 40 which I didn’t notice. it should show as 41 so you need to correct that. I am usually 40 but these run small and touch edges so in these I am 41 or 10. Olive color is pretty but I hope leather loosen up as seems to rub off my skin and it turns painful. It might take time to break it in and leather to feel more comfortable with time. Perfect Fall season color and goes with many outfits.
