I did ample research before buying heaters . These heaters are absolutely amazing. They heat the room so efficiently , were easy to mount on the wall, and work seamlessly with your smart phone on a schedule with a thermostat setting too. They are also aesthetically nice to look at. I bought two for my kids rooms which are large - 6x4m and sometimes the rooms get too hot so we need to adjust the temperature down a degree or two ! Highly recommended and what great value for money !!!

Thermostat control inaccurate- heats to 2-2C higher than the setting. It "knows" it is over temp, because it displays the temp on the front panel and via the app, so puzzling why it doesn't have better control. Light is way too bright for overnight use in bedroom One segment of the display is now not working (18mth old) It "creaks" quite loudly when heating and cooling - another reason it isn't suitable for the bedroom. All disappointing given I expressly bought it for the bedroom. Main living area covered by a heat pump already.

Works well, we like the LED display and simple to operate from the control panel. Setting up the wifi connection is problematic, involving in our case, resetting our router to turn on the 2.4GHz side of the router, and ensuring Bluetooth is on (on the phone) but then the heater still could not find the network. So the automatic on and off is also not available. Neither of us are ignorant around IT issues (Hubby works on aircraft IT systems) so it is particularly frustrating. The youtube videos by the manufacturer assume it will just connect, and doesnt deal with issues. We followed the instructions in the app regarding network settings etc and still can't get it to connect. It is honestly quicker to just walk through the house and switch it on. But I will have a go ... MoreWorks well, we like the LED display and simple to operate from the control panel. Bought this unit on the 16th of May 2022 mainly for the connectivity features and price. To start, the unit is built well and carries a modern design. WiFi connectivity and interface is great as well. However, my particular units thermostat is completely out of spec. Heres a real life example: The heater is in a relatively small room. I set desired room temperature to 16*C. After about 1 minute, the unit starts getting to temperature. After about 5 more minutes, the room is now 23*C (verified with two independent thermometers). The heater is saying the room temperature is STILL 15*C. Another 8 minutes, the room is now at 26*C but the heater is saying the room is only 17*C. Another 5 minutes, the room is now at 27*C and the heater is still saying the room is at 17*C. ... MoreBought this unit on the 16th of May 2022 mainly for the connectivity features and price. It completely overshoots the set temperature by ~10*C for ~30 minutes at a time, at which point the unit finally switches itself off and the room temperature starts to drop. I'm going to have it replaced and see if that makes a difference.
A compact heater that warms a smaller room nicely, especially at the lower setting. Having a timer for multiple on / off action is great, as is the wi-fi control. Thoroughly recommend even though the initial setup was a bit tedious. Doesn’t seem to want to configure using an iPhone 14 but worked immediately on my iPad. As most reviewers says, it could do with an optional display on / off as it is bright during the night and obviously you can’t cover it.
It works well to heat small rooms, but; On the box it states "programmable timer". It is a countdown timer only. So no ability for it to auto turn on at specific times, eg. An hour before bed. Perhaps the wifi version is capable of this with the app. But I feel the word programmable is a bit misleading. The touch display is great, But; it's bright and lights up the room, even when on standbye mode. I wouldn't reccomend for a bedroom if you like it dark. Something like a small play/living area would be fine for this heater.
It says "Silent Operation" on the box. That is 100% true, until you try and actually operate it at all. It beeps at everything you do. And when I say "beeps", I really mean screams. I can hear it through the entire house. God help you if you ever want to change any settings while you are in the room and trying to sleep. In other words, you need to make a decision on what you want the heater to do hours before you want it to do it. Naturally, there is no "silent mode- regardless of the lies told by the packaging. It also comes with brackets that allow you to wall mount the heater. Naturally, those mounts run horizontally instead of vertically, which means you cannot hang the unit from anything. It must be hard-mounted. If you don't own the wall, then this unit is not ... MoreIt says "Silent Operation" on the box. That is 100% true, until you try and actually operate it at all. The touch screen is nice, except that you cannot turn it off. Ever. Therefore, it is a child-magnet. Great idea right? Kids and heaters? What could go wrong? Oh....I can't submit this review until I disable my ad-blocker. That's nice. Don't you have enough of my money Bunnings?
Very sleek and classy looking panel heater. Smart and portable to boot. I already have a grid connect & google assistant smart home set up so this was easy for me to pair and get started on my network. Despite that if you are new to the smart home system, the grid connect app is easy and straight forward to use I don't think many will have any issues (unless your internet network and mobile phone is very slow/outdated). Asking google to turn on the heater and set the temperature from anywhere in the house is a major plus. My ONLY gripe, i don't think it gets hot enough, even on high setting and thermostat set to 50 degrees! But maybe that's just my high expectation. Overall, for what you pay, and as an additional to your smart home set up, I think it is worth it.
Bought this panel heater recently to take the chill off a medium sized bedroom. Really good value product, well built and looks good, does the job and was a lot cheaper than many other panel heater brands from electrical shops. Only fiddle was connecting to the app, which took a while and several attempts, but got there eventually and the app is simple and very good, as its ratings say. Can be used manually as well and there is a small remote included too. If I needed another panel heater then would definitely go for one of these Arlec units.
I have a friend who has this heater in the lower wattage & non-smart model and have used it many occasions. Hers worked great. I was super excited to get the Wi-fi one and get some much needed heat into my older home. Delivery was fast, design is great as far as looks ( yes light is bright) but this unit will not go above 20c. I tried it on wi-fi and manually and nothing. Its not too small for the room, I made sure to buy the correct sized unit, so i moved it into a smaller smaller room to see and nothing different. I have placed a return call as item is faulty if it says it has a range of up to 50c.
