This item is so cheap for the convenience of knowing when either your battery is flat or your device is broken, here in our office staff were always saying their mouse or keyboard was broken, when in fact it was the battery. So quick and easy to use, take out your battery from your device, place it in the battery tester and instantly you know if there is any power left. No messy cords, no recharging the device because it has gone flat when you need it and no throwing out good batteries because your device was faulty.

Takes the guess work out of it, as I hate sending batteries to the dump, I am slowly replacing with rechargeable ones which hold less charge and need replacing sooner. (But hey, no waste)

This device has already paid for itself when i sorted through 20 batteries i had saved that i wasnt sure had charge .If anything at home with a battery stops working , first thing i do now is bring out the Arlec

Just bought this. Tried it out on a new AAA battery and it said the battery should be replaced. Tried it with brand new AA and D batteries too, says the same thing for all of them. The needle moves, so I know it's not stuck. The batteries are newly purchased so I know they're not expired. Will be returning this.
I was pleased to find another battery tester at a good price as I like to be able to check the power level in batteries. This one has the advantage of being able to check various sizes and shapes of batteries. It works well though it does feel a little as though it should have been designed up the other way so that you are not trying to stop the battery falling out while reading its power level.
What a great inexpensive way to figure out whether the batteries or the device they’re in are the issue. I bought this one fir a friend.
This has been great for keeping track of batteries in kids toys. It's a little fiddly to hold a battery in but for the money I can definitely live with that. It really helped us clean out the junk drawer and I regularly use it to check batteries in toys and tech stuff.
this battery tester seems to work OK as intended. It is a little fiddly getting, and holding the battery in position. A locking type of arrangement, a positive lock, for each battery size would be useful, I think.
