Pair all the sensors , everything went smoothly. Set up schedules for different brightness etc and motion. Lights turn on with motion then turns off a few seconds later. Useless. Even with a delay timer of 5 minutes. Not intuitive at all and minimal information on how to set up

I have quite a few GC products set up around the house , garage etc. Now all I wanted from these sensors was to pick up movement , turn on/off a light after a specified time. Not asking to much right? WRONG!! I have spent endless hours trying to get these things to work as they should, sure, they pick up movement without a problem. My main complaint is the delay. It doesnt seem to matter if you set it to turn off after one minute or 30..it pleases itself. Most nearly always turns the light off well before the specified time. I like most of the GC devices..but I'm not investing another second trying to get these sensors to work..they'll be staying in the drawer in the shed. If you want decent motion sensors..get Philips Hue..amazingly accurate and reliable.

I brought this a month ago. It intregates well with the smartlife app. I have connected this with my arlec smart plug. If motion is detected then it swtiches on the light and my COMPUTER and if no motion then switch off in 5 mins. Works like charm no problem face till date

I bought this yesterday and got it installed and setup with my new Grid Connect Hub last night. Programming was a snap!It worked first time out of the box without any problems.Very happy with the item and would highly recommend it to extend and enhance your Grid Connect installation.
Used as a motion sensor to trigger out door fountain. Via Grid extension power cable.Pros: Motion sensor pairs easily. Automation setup was intuitive.Cons: Too sensitive and not software adjustment: used tape to maskNo IFTTT integration
I see mixed reviews of this product. Some sayig it works as expected and some mention problems with delays. I am facing problem in setting it up. The motion sensor works fine and triggers the lights on but to turn off when no motion is detected the behaviour is random. Also I am not getting how to add multiple conditions as mentioned in one of the screenshot in reviews below. Can someone please assist with the setup. I am really happy with all Grid connect product and using loads of switches and contact sensors at home, However a bit disappointed trying to set this one up.
Yes, I know it is meant to pick up motion, however it is way too sensitive and detects the palm's in the wind etc etc. causing the lights to flick on and off all night.I have moved the device to point directly at the door, however it appears to pick up air flow or similar through the fly screen, as when the sliding door is open (no movement) the lights are on and off all the time, close the sliding door and the sensor works as intended (apart from the moving palm leaf movement). If using inside a room - i think the product would work well, only detecting the movement of a person entering the room.I am waiting for the PIR to return to stock (estimated Feb 2021) I think this will be more accurate and less sensitive.I have quite a few Grid Connect product that ... MoreYes, I know it is meant to pick up motion, however it is way too sensitive and detects the palm's in the wind etc etc. causing the lights to flick on and off all night.I have moved the device to point directly at the door, however it appears to pick up air flow or similar through the fly screen, as when the sliding door is open (no movement) the lights are on and off all the time, close the sliding door and the sensor works as intended (apart from the moving palm leaf movement). If using inside a room - i think the product would work well, only detecting the movement of a person entering the room.I am waiting for the PIR to return to stock (estimated Feb 2021) I think this will be more accurate and less sensitive.I have quite a few Grid Connect product that have integrated into my 'smart home' and google operates them seamlessly. Overall the rest of the products are excellent if this was PIR I believe it would get 5 stars.
This item is almost great but at the moment its only good. I have found its sensor is sensitive to shadows and I suspect heat. This might be fixed with a software option for sensitivity, At this time Grid-Conect doesn't offer this. Overall it is easy to pair with the Hub, no issue there at all.
I have several in my house. Although it took several hours to figure out how to get it set up to stop sensing movement and setting the light from coming on and off, I think it’s a great product. If you are having issues with lights coming on and off, try an automation like attached. It will only trigger when the light is off.
Bought this as part of the 4 piece kit over a year ago.Easy to set up.Works exactly as a PIR is designed. It sends a signal to Grid Connect whenever it detects a change in temperature. e.g. body entering view. (don't ever point a PIR towards a glass door or window. You will get false triggers from the sun and shade)Set up in Grid Connect with a Scene to turn on a LED string light on my stairs, then turn off after 1 minute, but only at night.Simple. Works great. Detects people and my Silky Terrier.Still working on original battery.
