This is my third version of this camera system, good quality of picture but always one camera in the system that has a problem. Have everything compleet including the solar loaders. Battery of one camera dead after 1,5 week. Service of Netonnet is perfect, but the cameras are the problem. Started with a 2 camera system, broke, other one with 3 cameras, broke, now this one with 3 cameras, couple of weeks old, broke already. No more ARLO for me.

Problems: First: There is a long delay (up to a minute) in connecting to the camera when viewing video. The delay makes it worthless as a real time door monitor. By the time the video is displayed the visitor at the door has left. Second: Out of the box the system only records video when movement is detected within a configured Activity area. If movement is not detected there is no video captured. Arlo does provide continuous video capture for an added monthly fee. How about improve the WIFI to make the devices functional.I gave 2 stars because the battery lasts a long time (forever with the solarpanel charger) and the system is easy to set up.I would not buy this again.

I have been using Arlo cameras for a while. After the cloud subscription had expired I used the facility in the hub to use an SD card and view the recordings remotely using port forwarding. Back in June Arlo removed this so now can only see my recordings when at home defeating the purpose of having the cameras. 4 months down the line Arlo have still not fixed the issue. Do not buy unless you want to pay the high priced subscription. You're better off having a professional install CCTV cameras and not using Arlo. I bought additional cameras which I will be selling and have no interest in a company who does not put its customers first.

The arlo can work indoors and outdoors (even though it's meant to be outdoors) we got the big pack so had a few cameras which was really nice as we set up 1 outside and the rest inside- even using one as a "Cat Cam" which worked really well! The night vision of the ultra is nothing I have ever seen before and the quality (day and night) is extremely clear in 4k resolution and meant i could see both outside and inside clearly. However,I'm pretty sure it's suppose to be this way - I would say the delay is about 9 or so seconds-so maybe not first choice for a "real time" camera, this however doesn't stop me from loving it. As well as being amazingly clear both day and night , did I mention it has a light you can turn on & off with ease from your phone?- and another impressive thing is on your phone you can make it sound an alarm ! (This doesn't seem as delayed as the vido) , and my gosh it's loud! And last it's sharing capabilities- this means not only can I access the Ultra but so can my other half or whom I mark to have access. These are but a few things the camera does, I won't spoil it all though and will leave out bits for you to find out
I've had my system a few weeks now and everything is working great except for one thing. The SmartHub is not letting me set it up for local storage. I have a 1TB SDXC Card and I keep getting a message "The inserted SD Card cannot be used". I've gone through all the troubleshooting I can find including reformatting the SD Card and nothing is working. The only other issue is the app crashes every once in a while but that's nothing major... it happens. Very Satisfied with the rest of my system.
First of all Officeworks service was great.Arlo aftersales service is clunky. One camera dead out of the box. Took a month to get a replacement.Requirement for cameras to connect to dedicated hub is a poor design. I have a robust, secure and fast WIFI mesh network on my property and when cameras are placed at more than 20m from the Arlo hub I get connection issues or very slow response. These cameras should utilise the in place WIFI. Arlo state that the hub is for security. If these cameras where able to connect to my private network and talk directly to the hub via this secure network and then the camera traffic can communicate with Arlo Secure via the gateway router.
We already had an Arlo doorbell and were very impressed with the clarity of the videos and live camera action so we were keen to add on some extra cameras to improve the coverage around the whole house. The ultra 2 offered the perfect package and the cameras were super easy to install. I particularly love the spotlights as we live in the countryside and going into the garden at night with the dog had meant me using a torch.What I also love about the Arlo system is how easy it is to control the notifications, if you don't want your phone to receive them you can easily mute them. The Arlo Ultra Pro system is the single worst piece of technology I've ever bought in 47 years. It doesn't work. Continued connectivity issues between the base station and the cameras, and the batteries in the camera deplete within 24 hours. So if you're away on holiday for a week or two you'd better hope you're robbed within the first 24 hours in order to capture any evidence. If not, you're screwed. Even when you play with the settings to ignore wind, cars and irrelevant signals (eg. trees blowing) this still set's the camera off. Hopefully the robber will come dressed as a tree and therefore you might get some evidence.
