Great product for the price.Army Painter paints has a reputation for being difficult to shake up properly, if they've been stored for a long time under unknown temperature conditions. But this is due to high pigmentation, and if you know how to deal with it, it's no problem.Any acrylic paint will separate if stored for a lengthy period of time, and Army Painter paints are no exception.Pop an agitator in each bottle, put them in a piece of tupperware with sufficient room to move, seal it tight with duct tape, wrap it in a pillow case with some towels, and give it a good spin in a washing machine, using the centrifugal cycle program. You'll have paints with a nice creamy consistency and excellent coverage, 25% cheaper than Citadel, and with 50% more paint (18ml ... MoreGreat product for the price.Army Painter paints has a reputation for being difficult to shake up properly, if they've been stored for a long time under unknown temperature conditions. You'll have paints with a nice creamy consistency and excellent coverage, 25% cheaper than Citadel, and with 50% more paint (18ml compared to Citadel's 12ml).

Good Lords, this box is insanely good.Quite an investment aye, but I assure you you will never need another colour again, the range is THAT vast.Only real complaint was the sheer size and weight of the thing had damaged some of the plastic trays the paints come in, but I had some spare from other Army Painter sets so they were easily replaced.None of the paints had leaked/been damaged in transit, just slightly displaced, but as they don't come in any particular order, that was fine.If you buy this, or any Army Painter product, be sure to get some agitators, too many people condemn these paints, when they easily rival, and sometimes surpass, Citadel and Vallejo.

I wish I would have gotten this set instead of the mega set. There are several overlapping colors so instead of buying this I will slowly add new colors to my collection.

Every color you will ever need, wash, metallics, effects, the works. I have had to buy this kit in pieces from single bottles and smaller sets, but if you want to save some money up front, just buy this kit to cut some costs. Has everything, EVERYTHING, you need to get rolling in the mini painting hobby.

SUPER SET!

This limited edition super set is really amazing. It has 124 paints. Includes washes / effects / primer / varnish / metalics / quickshade medium / 5 brushes. Really about anything you ever needed. You'll never have to pause a project and wait for a color paint again.

Nice kit for a good price. Now i dont need much else color-wise and the paints are awesome to work with as always. The only negative is the anti-shine varnish is thick like a paste and need to thin it A LOT.

This kit has it all, and worth every penny

Holy smokes, this is a huge amount of paint! It's basically all you need to base, detail, highlight, and finish your minis from start to finish, without needing to find some specific product online to fill the missing gap. It really does have it all.

When you gotta' catch em all!

I really enjoy following along to different painting tutorials but the thing I hate most, is when I don't have a suitable colour to substitute in. This is definitely a lot of paint though, so get some storage tubs ready! I have a rack that holds the paint I need for the current session and then the rest gets tucked away until needed.

The debate will never end on which paint company produces the best fine figure model paint, Vallejo is great for airbrushing, Citadel makes really good tools, but, Army painter is the most cost-effective, allowing you to buy the complete range of their paints for under $500. The value is outstanding, with five brushes included in the set and 124 bottles of paint, it works out to around $3.59 each (bought individually these sell at $5.49 as of the time I wrote this review), so on this whole set, you are actually saving around $235 on what all those paints would cost you, bought by themselves. As for quality, I normally use them on Reaper Bones vinyl plastic miniatures, which requires the base coat to go on undiluted with any water, just use it right out of the well ... MoreThe debate will never end on which paint company produces the best fine figure model paint, Vallejo is great for airbrushing, Citadel makes really good tools, but, Army painter is the most cost-effective, allowing you to buy the complete range of their paints for under $500. As for quality, I normally use them on Reaper Bones vinyl plastic miniatures, which requires the base coat to go on undiluted with any water, just use it right out of the well shaken up bottle, after the first coat you can water it down and use all the usual painting techniques. With this set, I recommend getting yourself a nice set of paint racks, or just make yourself one with hot glue and cardboard, and I prefer using a wet palette when I paint, as it prevents the paint drying out before you use it all up. Remember, model paints have a very finely ground pigment, you will need to shake the bottles up a lot, but the paint has remarkably good qualities, particularly if you watch a few YouTube tutorials and learn how to use and care for your brushes well.
