I am a 79 year old lady with arthritis in my fingers. I wanted to put up Christmas Lights, but holding a nail between my fingers and using a hammer to secure lights just didn't work. So, I ran to my local hardware store to pick up a staple gun. I was worried that my weakened fingers might not be strong enough to squeeze the staple gun trigger. So, I asked the clerk for advice. He showed me the Arrow Trutac Stapler. I was thrilled that I was able to easily squeeze the handle of this little white beautiful staple "gun". It had more than enough power to staple my lights into the wood around my window.

I bought and used this within an hour. I had several jobs that needed done immediately and my very old Arrow stapler finally quit on me. I have to say that the newer version is Amazing in comparison. It’s lighter, and light years easier to shoot with. No more hand cramps halfway through a job! This thing worked so smooth, I got all the properties finished before dark and didn’t have a single jam. My only concern at the moment is it feels extremely lightweight, so durability is a concern. Hopefully it’s as tough as all my Arrow staplers have been. So far I absolutely love it and I wish I would have upgraded sooner!

Like that it will take several sizes of staples, this makes it more of an all purpose use instead of just one thing. We used it to staple chicken wire to a wall for peas to cling to as they grow. Being an older women, I found it a bit hard to squeeze until I moved my hand clear out to the end of the handle to get more leverage. That did make a difference. The tool was easy load the staples once I read the instructions. Easy to see where you are placing your staple. Overall, I would for sure recommend this staple gun for occasional use. Good tool for me inventory.

I am a female who thought I would try an easy nail gun before getting into more advanced products. I bought this product mainly for the nail gun feature so I will comment on that. It is a little tricky adding the nail sheets for the first time but there is a video online. The product itself is a little heavy to hold. The nails only go through light products like drywall, thin plastic sheeting. It bounces off harder surfaces so use safety goggles when trying on new surfaces.Overall, it is easy to use like a stapler. I like it for light projects.
I purchased the Heavy Duty Staple Gun - T50 to apply new upholstery to my SUV's center console armrest. I needed to stretch a leather replacement cover tight to the center console cover and secure it in place with staples. I used the Arrow brand staples to ensure compatibility. I was able to successfully and tightly secure the leather cover to the plastic frame. The staple gun was strong and able to penetrate the leather and plastic. The staples held tight without any problems.I also used the Staple Gun - T-50, while building a custom-made bed frame, to secure thick upholstery to MDF. It is important to use proper technique and angle when penetrating hard surfaces.I was going to rate this product a 4/5 for design because the lever can pinch the skin of your ... MoreI purchased the Heavy Duty Staple Gun - T50 to apply new upholstery to my SUV's center console armrest. Although, if you follow standard safety practices, Personal Protective Equipment such as gloves should be worn to ensure that your hand will not get pinched when pressing down the lever. The overall design was a 5/5.
I bought this from Screwfix about a year ago to replace an old, inexpensive Rapesco stapler I’d had for 15+ years. That gun had been great, but an important bit of plastic in the mechanism had crumbled away, beyond repair.I felt the time was right to invest in a “forever stapler”. The Arrow looked the part - not cheap, but had generally good reviews. “Proudly made in the USA”, said the packet. All metal, all American. A design classic, like a Harley or Colt .45. I felt good about my purchase. This feeling didn’t last…Loading the staples (genuine Arrow, naturally) involves sliding them in from the back of the machine, down a blind channel so you can’t see how may are in there already, unlike the old Rapesco which hinged open from the bottom, revealing the full ... MoreI bought this from Screwfix about a year ago to replace an old, inexpensive Rapesco stapler I’d had for 15+ years. The Arrow looked the part - not cheap, but had generally good reviews. “Proudly made in the USA”, said the packet. All metal, all American. A design classic, like a Harley or Colt .45. I felt good about my purchase. This feeling didn’t last…Loading the staples (genuine Arrow, naturally) involves sliding them in from the back of the machine, down a blind channel so you can’t see how may are in there already, unlike the old Rapesco which hinged open from the bottom, revealing the full magazine.Upon using it, fastening thin plastic membrane to softwood timbers with short (5/16”) staples, I found every staple was under-driven, standing proud by a good 1/32”. I reached for the tension adjuster like on my old Rapesco, only to find there isn’t one.Worst of all though is the jamming. After about 10-20 staples driven, there’s a build-up of mangled staples at the muzzle that either stops staples being fired, or (worse) embeds a few of the dead staples in your workpiece. Either way, you need a pair of pliers close to hand at all times. And sometimes, it just stops firing. Sometimes because the magazine is empty, sometimes not. You can’t see, of course, so have to remove the magazine tensioner and bang the back of the gun on a hard surface in the hope of dislodging any remaining strip of staples that are in there.Needless to say, all of this is a source of much frustration and lost time. A staple gun has one job to do, and I’m sure there are lots of alternative makes and models that do this reliably (including my late-lamented Rapesco).I suspect the root of the problem is that the pressed steel construction of the Arrow has looser tolerances than the cast alloy body of my old Rapesco (and probably many other models). Perhaps I just got a bad one, but if so, that speaks of poor quality control. So in summary: Disappointed. Pros are it will probably last forever, cons are I really don’t want it to.
I’ve purchased staple guns in past, hoping to save some money I went with generic brands. They’ve all malfunctioned beyond repair or have just deteriorated overtime. They don’t get used very often and I take care of all my tools, ensuring they stay in great condition. Over the years, every friend or family member I know, in their toolbox has a version of this exact staple gun. Dad, grandpa, brother in law, uncle, etc. It’s the staple gun I borrow when mine breaks. They never replace it. Their staple gun has aged, but it still performs. I finally got my own today. You can’t beat the price. You can’t beat its functionality. Sure, an electronic staple gun may be more efficient, but this staple gun will be the one you give to your son/ daughter when you no longer need it.
I purchased my arrow stapler with the intentions that it would make creating my crafts and gardening ideas a reality. I was so pleased with the easy use of it. stapling the small projects worked out so much better than the small tacks. worked out so well I used it on my gardening, attaching netting to th me wooden stakes I had. It took a little pressure, but I was not dissappointed. I was so pleased with the arrow stapler, when I needed a larger glue gun for my projects, I purchased the Arrow all purpose glue gun. loveing it!.Does fast heat up, heavey duty glueing at 80 Watts. very pleased with this products.
I used this product to staple thin screen to drywall to cover the opening behind a large cold air return vent. The lightweight screen did not block any airflow. The vent cover is white so I purchased a light white tinted screen. I have one each of these vents on each wall going down a stairwell. I could see the huge duct openings on each side everytime I walked up & down the steps. I came up with the idea of placing screen behind the vent covers which I cut just a little larger than the vent cover. I stapled the screen to the drywall with my new stapler close to the edges of the cutting of the regtangular opening for the vent, stretching it slightly taught. When I screwed the vent cover back on, I trimmed any excess screen from the sides & touched up any paint ... MoreI used this product to staple thin screen to drywall to cover the opening behind a large cold air return vent. When I screwed the vent cover back on, I trimmed any excess screen from the sides & touched up any paint needed on the vent cover & wall with a tiny paint brush. It worked perfectly and now I don't have to see the ugly duct work through the slats of the vent cover. I am a single female and have some arthritis in my hands making it difficult at times to do small handyman type repairs in the house, but the stapler worked like a charm and I completed both sides of the stairwell in a very short period of time. I love my stapler!
code for online review 1117The stapler was useful when I used to 1/4" staple to the furniture in question.I had a bit of a problem at the beginning with the amount of strength to make the snap but the more I used it the more comfortable it got. It is not large nor bulky.I also used it in the insulation of a windows.I am glad I bought itI finished the projects without reading this REVIEW and I did not get any pictures imagesThe furniture as in my son's houseThe window was done on the outside and than a cement board over itif you need these pictures I will be doing more projects
