There are just some things that aren't glamorous or fun, but you've got to have them. And if you got to have one, it might as well be rugged and inexpensive, right The DUALZDirect fits the bill perfectly. Plug in any pair of instrument-, line-, or speaker-level signals and have the DUALZDirect output them as balanced mic-level signals. It's that simple. In the studio it's great for keyboards and samplers; onstage, you'll find a million and one uses for it. When it's got to work and it's got to be inexpensive, it's got to be the DUALZDirect from ART.

Tried cheap passive DI's before and found them noisy and lacking body.Everyone knows ART: they make ugly gear that works great lol! And this is no exception! I use it all the time as a DI in from my Blackstar Amp to my UAD Apollo and found the following: Little or (to me) NO Stereo Phase Issues, VERY Quiet INDEED, Attenuators work well for my Active 6 string bass (Stereo). STRONG output in Girth and Body of the source signal, works well on my Fender Elite PJ Bass, my ESP LTD 7er guitar and an Acoustic.Seriously, this unit is Hilarious.. it simply works so very well. Take this Review as helpful and honest. No Affiliations. Buy one....or nine, just in case.

Got rid of my studio monitor interference noises, took me a long time to find this fix. Ground lift. Sounds great.

Have used through my p.a. for acoustic guitar with onboard pre-amp, and really pleased with the results. Looks very well built and should last for ages.

Purchased less than a year ago. In terms of sound quality is good. Channel one started to fail a week ago due to the low quality switchers in the board.
This DI box has been reliable so far and shows no signs of any visible parts being weak. The sound is fine and overall we are happy with the result for our needs.
I use several of these DI boxes and they are great. Very compact, the passive design saves a lot of fuss and the attenuators make it very flexible, although you have to check you have not accidentally turned them on when handling the unit.Terrific value for the price. My only real criticism is the stupidity of putting small purple text on a black box that's to be used on stage. I've stuck on white tape to label the inputs.
Not only did I tell about it...we ordered another one within a week. Amazing piece of hardware. All newbies and pros need at least one in their bags.
It's really a must for getting the unbalanced stuff into your pro audio gear you've paid good money for. And for the price, it's like a screwdriver in a tool box. For the money on this unit what it does over and above the higher priced stuff is great. I have my share of ART equipment and it's all doing fine...since my first piece back about 1987.
