Art Spectrum Raw Sienna is based on a form of natural clay pigment used since prehistoric times. Art Spectrum Raw Sienna is enriched with Mars Yellow to bring out its earthy warmth. Sienna is one of the most ancient pigments used by humans, and it was particularly popular during the Renaissance for use in underpainting and drawing. The colour takes its name from the Italian city of Siena where the pigment was mined until the 1940s. Today it is mainly sourced from the Italian Islands of Sardinia and Sicily and the Appalachian mountains in North America.

Darker than I thought it would be.
Thanks so much for order received very promptly. My favourite AS oil colour is Aust.Red Gold, so wanted to try the green version. Absolutely beautiful and free flowing and gives such a beautiful soft glow to tree foliage; mixed with a bit of white and that's a whole new colour - imagination is the key and I like to mix up different colours for varying results and these colours did not disappoint. Typical of Art Spectrum. Regaards, Lesley Adams
I have always used Art Spectrum paint and found it good quality wonderful hues and easy application
Very red-based for magenta but great opacity and consistency. Have used multiple times and am always happy with the result. Colour dries true and does not warp when mixed with mediums.
HiI have been using Art Spectrum oils for many years and find ther viabrant colours bring out the best in my paintings. The spectrum red deep has its own wow factor . I have used it on the ''Great Palm Cockatoo''for the red patch under its eye. The Art S hed online are also very helpfull and prices very compeditive.Regards Terry Bridges
