Amazing! I cannot believe how easy and simple this gas lift bed was to put together! The speedy arrival, the unpacking of items, I'm no internet shopper nor am I one to put flatpacks together!I had family on standby just in case, but I actually put this together by myself! I didn't rush it and in no time could see you didn't need to be a rocket scientist to put the bed together!I had also already purchased a good firm mattress to go on the base, and bam, altogether and made it up and so happy with my gas lift bed.I would highly recommend if anyone is looking for a main bed, and have limited storage, this is the perfect bed!

Colour is very nice. There was one manufacturing defect in the hole where the screw goes to attach the bed foot. Looks like a nail gun nail is preventing the screw to go in so one of my bed feet is missing a screw. I hope it doesn’t affect the structural integrity. I also waited 3.5 weeks for the entire bed to arrive. It was broken into 3 packages of which 2 arrived and I had to wait another week before the third package arrived. It states 2 different delivery timings one on the my deal website and one on the hunter express website. Give yourself a month lead time because it was disappointing. Also check all parts are inside the package because mine were ripped open and I had to go looking in the box and recount that I had all the screws.

When I purchased this, I thought that the middle support legs are steel as per description. But when we opened the box, the legs were of wood. The quality of the wooden legs were poor. (Photos attached) We had to improvised plastic inserts to avoid the wood attachment to be broken once we tighten the bolts. (Last photo) There was also a mistake with the steel brackets. Instead of getting 2x right and 2x left brackets, we got 3x right and 1 left. Needed to change assembly of one corner leg to accomodate mistake in the bracket.The price of the bedframe was very cheap compared to the market plus it was eligible for free delivery. Bought it for our kids. Decent looking bed with some flaws

The bed is of reasonable quality. The colour description was not accurate. We purchased the grey as it looks like a mid neutral tone of grey but in reality it is a gunmetal grey with a strong blue undertone. So it does not really coordinate with our carpet well.The bed also came a week later than suggested, it sat in the Perth warehouse for 4 days. The instructions were quite good but one major detail was missing in regards to the frame for the slats. It needs to be installed with the holes facing up. Also the gaslift fittings are so strong we can't push them down or they may be faulty. I was told by the supplier to try and push them really hard and was worried we may damage the frame. We will try again.

Great Family Bed

Easy to assemble for husband on his own and a little bit of my help.Instructions are ok to follow could be a bit more clearer but good enough.Doesnt have a chemical smell when you take it out of the box.Big and sturdy bed.I thought the backboard was going to be extra huge but it is decent enough and covers a big portion of the wall. Keeps the cold off your head. Lucky I got the tallest looking one. Fits perfectly and looks beautiful in our room. Gas lift is very strong and works great! We have 4 kids.. They've jumped on the bed and sofar it's doing great. Definitely happy it's not flimsy. Glad we got the gaslift and not side draws. Happy Days.

Great bed for a decent price.

Great bed and ideal for anyone on a budget.It looks more than it's price tag once you add your pillows and manchester. On it's own you can notice why it's cheap.Delivery - was quick and efficient within 3 business days.Unboxing - Came in 2 boxes. Bed head in one and the rest in another along with the necessary tools. Took me nearly 30 mins to assemble the bed. The wooden slats looked a bit low in quality, but none have broken so far. you get 2 extra slats in the box, assuming in case one breaks.I was unsure at first, as I would have liked to touch and feel the bed before purchasing. Relied on the reviews left behind and they weren't disappointing at all.

Guest Bed

As it is the new guest bed, I probably can't give it a five star rating. It certainly looks very good and I must say it is comfortable after giving it a test once the new Emma mattress arrived.All up, it took me 2.5 hours to assemble by myself. A tip for future purchasers, while the supplied Allen Key does the job, the little spanner is not so effective and I'd suggest making use of a small socket set, if you have one. It will save you a lot of time. (if you have a longer allen key that fits, I also suggest you use that as well).The only negative comment would be on how the bed was delivered. I'm using in a very small bedroom (converted verandah) so size and access is a premium.Price is incredibly competitive - gas lift storage usually starts at twice the price, and in this price bracket only very cheaply made budget models are available. So this is a bargain straight off. It also arrived very quickly in three easily-handled boxes. You could possibly fit this in your car at pickup (check dimensions).Fit and finish is exceptional (for price) material is fair quality, appears durable and attractive. Some parts such as the castors are cheap plastic but these can be replaced easily if needed. Over all it is very strongly made - steel, structural timber, fittings and lift mechanics are all good quality (in class) with the exception of the headboard which has very light framing (40x19?) and a bit weak freestanding - it works perfectly fine if used as intended flat against a wall.There is no longitudinal support rail and it has curved bed slats, to reduce frame weight for lift ability. These are fit for purpose and could be upgraded easily by a handypeep if required. I weigh 125kg + and it has no problems supporting me.Assembly is straightforward as long as you pay close attention and follow the instructions carefully. It is very easy to get parts upside side or back to front or assembled out of order. There is one minor illustration error but asides from that as long as you take your time and think it through, it's easy. Spare fasteners and all tools needed are provided, although the spanner is junk and lasted 10 seconds before I went and got a ratchet drive.As commented often, yes there is NO base floor, so all items stored just sit on the floor under the bed. Storage trays or crates are recommended. It would be relatively trivial to fit trim and fabric to enclose it to keep out bugs and dust, or even install a light floor. I found the bed a little low (am 183cm) and needed more storage so I simply chocked the bed up by 100mm, it can now store 8 medium storage crates with ease in a whopping 0.3 x 1.1 x2.0m.The lift mechanism is quite frankly unbelievably good, well designed and balanced for this price. You can lift the entire fitted and dressed bed with pillows (and in my case a 10kg weighted blanket) with almost no effort. You almost need to hold it back to prevent take off. Lowering, it is important to do so from very centre to prevent tilting and hold it up a bit to stop it coming down in a rush at the very end. Lift not suitable for small children due to potentially injury or trapping, but fine for anyone else. Struts appear they could be re-gassed or replaced as required.Overfall I am super-impressed with this. There are some minor deficiencies and build is not super-strong but this is absolutely dominating at the price point with good features and design you won't find anywhere else (usually in $700+ range). I cannot recommend this enough, looks snazzy, robust (if treated with care), and massive storage at a great price.

Solid reliable bed completely worth the price

For this bed I read the reviews 10 times since I couldnt check the bed in person. So ill try to give a good discription of the whole experience.The bed arrived a week early, great! Assembling it was easy, I did it a girl by my self. It is so worth the price. Once you assemble it no one would guess you got it at that price, its shic solid and reliable. The legs wont get damaged if you have to move it, just the heading of the bed isnt as a solid as i would like since I like leaning against it while sitting on the bed. I have put it against the wall so I can lean comfortablity against it.I would completely recommend this bed if ur on budget. Its worth the price.I would just say the color is slightly darker than the image on the website.

Sturdy, Comfortable & Practical

We purchased this bed for our son, who was upgrading fro a King Single to a Double bed. Due to the room size and shape it made more sense to have a shorter, wider bed than a long and narrow one.The delivery was QUICK. We are in regional NSW and within 2 days it was on our door. It came in a few pieces. Everything was wrapped well and boxed. The bed was relatively easy to put together and it is nice and light. The fabric is fantastic quality and the light grey colour is a nice modern and fresh colour in a white bedroom.The gas lift strut is incredibly useful for storing those toys and items that don't get used every day, our 8 year old can open it safely, himself. I like this, it keeps the bed lighter and I also find it easier to get the vacuum head in there to clean.The only thing we noticed was difference to the advertisement is the bedhead seems to look very tall, but in person is about the same height as a standard pillow standing on it's side. This is not an issue for us as it makes the room feel bigger. But may be a deal breaker for someone looking for a more 'luxurious' feel.Overall we are impressed with this bed and for the price, it was a steal! There is absolutely no comparison, even some of the cheaper furniture stores charge twice the price for a gas lift style. We would consider purchasing again for other rooms in our house when the time comes.
