My K2600 died and I needed a new 88 key controller for my music. I reviewed several, and I chose this unit for the price and the ease of control and the Arturia package that comes with the keyboard. So far it's working well with Logic X. I think this controller is worth every penny. The controllers work well, and the velocity is sensitive, but not too sensitive. Also, this unit was easy to connect and use with the usb cable.

I had the 49 key controller for some time now. this one is not much more in price and the extra keys are awesome. on the 49 key I had to keep going up or down an octave with the buttons. the 88 key is perfect. all the octaves you need which is great for playing bass notes with 2 octaves and moving the chords around the keyboard. it is very worth it and the extra stuff is just awesome. the ableton live lite and the grand piano and stuff is just great.

My old 88 key controller had Middle C go out on me and I needed a new one. I prefer non weighted action so no need for the higher end version.Looks and feels great. All knobs and buttons feel well built. Fit perfectly into my desk setup. A bit difficult to setup at first with my DAW however once grasping better the "Map Select" function I was good to go and have the DAW Command center portion interacting with my DAW.
Arturia Keylab Essential 88 - really solid build with lots of features and sounds - and a whole lot more portable than it's big brother
