I bought this to replace an older model of this shoe and it’s a big improvement. Light, snug fitting with great balance and stability. I also like that I can get away with wearing them while dressing up because the all black ones don’t scream “trainers!” Highly recommended as a walking shoe or light training.

In the last 18 months I have restarted plodding/running to deal with back problems and for general health, aiming to run at least 5km each morning.These shoes replaced a previous ASIC runner (size 14, Wide) that had proved durable and comfortable enough but whose outsoles, after 18 months of daily use, were worn down. Initially there was some anxiety that the extra wide fit would be too wide. Not so. The extra wide size fits comfortably so prospective customers with wide feet should consider carefully, or try on, if a wide size will fit.I think the shoes provide adequate support and shock absorption, and will buy another ASICS when these need replacement.
Great support, comfort, look! I need another pair. ASICS are all I wear for shoes. My feet need a comfortable fit that supports my whole body. I would recommend trying these shoes for day to day wear, running, walking or any activity that is a part of your day. When I phase out older pairs of ASICS I replace them and wear the other shoes for yard work and gardening until they no longer offer support or fall apart
I bought this shoe in July, 2024 and didn’t wear it until September, 2024. Right away the back of the right heel started rubbing my skin to wear ultimately I have a cut behind my right ankle. This is after a short 15 minute walk with my dog. Usually ASICS are my go to shoe for comfort, but this one didn’t meet the quality expectations I have for ASICS.
I have very wide feet and have huge difficulty finding comfortable shoes. Asics offer these Gel Contends in a standard 4E extra wide fitting, and they are a perfect fit.Really good quality, supremely comfortable and excellent value for money, the Gel Contend 4E's are my go-to, everyday shoes.I work on my feet, am crazy rough on shoes and use them in a variety of terrains and environments. I have purchased several pairs when the old ones start to look tired (i have never worn out a pair, I just get them quite dirty), and I can order them online with total confidence of consistent sizing and great comfort.Great to see a manufacturer consistently delivering a great product and exceptional value for money.
I have wide feet, and am typically a size 13. Asics are renown for being great for wide feet, and this proved to be true for these shoes. Super comfy and supportive. I went for a size up (S14), as they were just that bit comfier than the S13. Bought during the Father's Day sale, I only wish I'd bought another pair in a different colour.
An excellent shoe. Great fit with all the right support and extremely comfortable. I don't own a great variety of shoes, so when I wear these ones out, I just replace them with the same shoe. This is my third time buying these shoes, and if they are still available by the time I need my next pair, it won't be my last.
I originally bought a pair but ordered the wrong size so I gave them to a mate as a gift. So I bought another pair as to a pair for my wife and a pair for my son and they loved the shoe. Unfortunately mine were a bit small so I gave them to my stepson as a gift and he wears them daily to work as my wife does. So finally I bought another pair and the right size and an awesome shoe. So all up I bought 5 pairs of the same shoe. I’ve been buying ASICS for years and I love the fact they have a size 4E. For extra wide feet. Thanks and until next pair🤙🤙
