The ASICS GEL-Cumulus 24 shoes feature excellent soft cushioning thanks to FlyteFoam Blast technology and GEL technology that helps absorb shock for a comfortable ride. These shoes feature a 3D construction, a midsole foam that adjusts perfectly to the different foot shapes and road stride of each individual. The mesh upper wraps the foot in a soft feel, adds strategic support in specific areas and leaves some fibres more open for improved breathability.

My second pair of this make and model. Great for outside running and on the treadmill. Fantastic cushion on the back foot strike, they allow me to go into the 'runner's zone' without having to think about the shoes at all - very light. They do not feel big or clunky at all for shoes that provide so much cushion and comfort and provide all this while still feeling like a 'limber' shoe. Was a Nike guy my whole life but now I buy just Asics - greatly prefer the gel shoes to the air shoes. One note: I am normally a 10 across the board but took 10.5 with these.

Having a collection of several different models from Nimbus, Glide ride, Gel Quantum 360 I can say this shoe is comfortable all most as much as the 22 Nimbus model. I think my 22 Cumulus is just a tad more comfortable for walking. I still think my early version 2 I think of the Gel Quantum 360 are the most cushion and comfort Ive ever had for a walking shoe but I still like the 24 and 22 Cumulus. Being 77 YO I don't run or even walk fast anymore. Asics is the best and most consistent brand I have ever worn and I have been an Aspics fan for many years.

Very sad these shoes did not deliver on cushioning or support. It’s not so bad when you’re running in a straight line, but turns and changes in elevation make this shoe unstable with its sole almost designed to catch small rocks, sticks, any object that will fit. Then you have to angry stomp and slide your foot to get the debris out. I was so excited, but I was very let down. I’ve run 300 miles in them so far and I don’t see any difference between this and my 3 year old Adidas NMD. It’s sad, but this shoe is overhyped. It has ZERO bounce, and it feels like you’re dragging cinder blocks. They are durable, as they haven’t worn anywhere except the edges of the sole from turning. Overall, not worth the money. Lesson learned.

This is a lightweight comfortable shoe. I’ve tried several Asics’ shoes and this one is my favorite. This is a good all around comfortable shoe, whether it’s walking or running. The sole has a nice bounce, the fit is good, (not too tight), and great comfort. Not sure how it will hold up, but my previous Gel-Cumulus shoes are still doing well two years later. I bought these and like them more than my previous pair. I highly recommend these shoes. Your feet will thank you.
This is my first pair of gel-cumulus’s. They are super light and for the most part comfortable. The only thing that bothers me is my right foot which seems to feel a little bit tingly after wearing them for awhile. Kind of like your foot is falling asleep. It doesn’t do that with any of my other running shoes. Not sure if there’s a slight imperfection or not. It could be the removable footbed that’s in the shoe. Anyway hope this helps someone else.
These are very comfortable for a long day of walking. Wear with socks or bare, either way the fit is comfortable. If choosing socks, wear low-cut ankle socks for total comfort. The insoles are recycled trash. Get some replacement polyurethane insoles before you wear and you’ll be gold! Only other complaint is there’s no leather. This shoe would get 5 stars if it had decent insoles and leather. Still worth purchasing though.
This review is for past Cumulus wearers & ASICS company folks... the Cumulus 24 keeps the Cumulus heritage going!!TLDR summary: I've owned DOZENS of pairs of Cumulus over the last 15 years and have found them to be just what I need to knock out ~450 miles over the course of a few months with reliable comfort and dependable, neutral cushioning. Try them out today!Backstory: I have been wearing Cumulus since first fitted by my LRS in 2008; first model purchased was the Cumulus 9. I am an "if-it-ain't-broke" sort of person, so my next MANY pairs took me through the upper-teens models... where something terrible happened. One model got a little tight & narrow in the toe box, then the next was just un-wearable for me. One model got a little tight & narrow in the toe box, then the next was just un-wearable for me. Too much "trickle down" changes & the changing uppers just made for a narrower/tighter fit. I was heart-broken and went into a veritable funk for a couple years as I sought refuge in other companies' models with incredibly varied levels of success. Then, when the 20's models came out, I tried Cumulus again & THEY WERE BACK!! The 23's worried me a little (got a little bit narrower in toe box again), but the 24's seem to be right back on track to what I'm used to. So, now I'm back to having 2 pairs in rotation (22 & 23 right now), with 6 in inventory (a 21, 2 x 22's & 3 x 24's)... I'm set for another good year of running!!
For the past few years I have alternated between the Brooks Glycerin and the Asics Gel-Cumulus. I had a knee replacement a couple of years ago, so my gait has changed and now when I wear the Cumulus I LOVE the way it feels on my feet, but these shoes change my gait so they irritate my back. I have switched to the Gel-Nimbus 24 and they work great!!
Probably the most comfortable shoes I've ever worn. Cushiony soft yet sturdy, they protect my feet equally well on running workouts and for walking around while recovering. I ran a PR on a 7K in these shoes. I was disappointed in the colorway though: the green looked more serpentine in the photo but in reality is more of a blah Army green.
RUNS SMALL AND NARROWI have been a 9D since I started running at age 14 in every running shoe from Spira to Nike to Saucony to New Balance. I went to an Asics Premium Outlet store to get sized and fitted before I ordered since I am now 55yo old and I was told my feet maybe bigger now. I am a 9D in the Gel-Kayano and Gel-Kinsei Blast, two different shoes. Ready to order online for Black Friday. My first GC's were a 9D. Failure. Short. The second purchase of the GC's were a 9.5D. Failure. Too tight/too narrow. I went to Roadrunner Sports (Asics authorized dealer) and used their Virtual Fit Finder Premium Service to get sized and fitted AGAIN as a result of two returned purchases for the Gel-Cumulus 24 (GC). I AM A SIZE 9 AND D WIDTH. I AM A SIZE 9 AND D WIDTH. Honestly???I lost the Black Friday sale price and customer service would not match the price even though clearly their GC's are poorly manufactured to standard sizes. My price increased significantly and after the second return I was informed the GC's were no longer available in my size.! If I had laser eyes there were have been fire!At Roadrunner Sports I bought the Gel-Nimbus in a 9.5D (I want to run trails in the AZ desert so toe impacts are an issue) and the shoe was a bit long as a result, but was a perfect width fit. The 9D was a perfect fit.I will never deal with Asics directly again. What a nightmare! I got a 10% coupon, half of what the Black Friday sale price would have been, a headache, a FedEx store drive, and no shoes. ACK!!
