This is a very good shoe - this is my second pair. I like almost everything about them but I find I have two problems: firstly the arch support needs to be a couple of mm higher and slightly stiffer (I've fiddled with a million different insoles but it's hard to get perfectly correct). Secondly, the toe box on these is one of the flimsiest I've encountered - I poke my big toe nails through the top of the shoe after a couple of weeks. To try and prolong the life of the shoe I insert a self-adhesive plastic disc (available on Amazon) into the roof of the toe box. The effect is minimal but it prevents me from looking very shabby very quickly!

I loved the ASICS shoes they were comfortable but didn't last long. In less than a year where the plastic toe hit the outside of the shoes the right one ripped a whole through and the left one was starting. However, I called customer service and found out ASICS has a one year warranty. It was labor intensive to complete and LUCKILY I still had my receipt, therefore the shoes were replaced.Since I just received them I can't say how long they will last. When I first called I felt the company needed to correct this apparent issue with the plastic toe piece. I hope they are going to remedy this problem in manufacturing the shoes. I may add, I have 6 other pair of ASICS and had the problem only once prior but the shoes were over 2 years old before hole wore through.

I was recommended Asics Running shoes by my physiotherapist for an ongoing ankle issue I am suffering with. Managed to nab these for a bargain ($60), as they are last years model. The foam sole doesn't compress: so they feel very bouncy underfoot, the heel is slightly elevated: so my tendons aren't over stretching. A much better work shoe than my previous Skechers.I bought some elastic laces to make the shoes easier to get on and off while still having them be tightly secured to my feet.I am on my feet for most of the work day often standing in one spot for a couple of hours at a time, I hugely recommend these for others who work in similar conditions. My feet don't get sore in the same way and my ongoing ankle issue is helped by how secure the heel of the shoe ... MoreI was recommended Asics Running shoes by my physiotherapist for an ongoing ankle issue I am suffering with. Happy with the shoes!
9 December 2023

The shoes I got for a really nice price and as I just started running again I didn't want to spend too much money on my first pair. The delivery was fast and the pair fits me well! They run good and they look super good. The only hard part was to find out which size I should get, as running shoes need to be about 1.5 to 2 sizes bigger. On the internet I found that Asics usually runs 2-2.5 sizes bigger, but I decided to go for 1.5 bigger, which was fine. So maybe a nice guideline in the size on the site would be nice. But overall I am very content with my order and I think the price/quality ratio is very good. Would order again.

Low Quality Fabric, Poor Customer Service
7 January 2024

I bought these shoes summer of 2023. I used them for work due to the level of comfort these shoes claimed to have and I have always heard great things about this brand of shoe online. I work in healthcare and I work long hours on my feet so I really needed a shoe that wouldn't have my feet hurting after my 10-11 hr shifts. After 3-4 months of wearing the shoe I started to noticed a small hole form at the toe part of the shoe on my right shoe. The material was very thin on this portion of the shoe but only on my right foot. I wore regular socks and I don't keep my toenails long. I decided to contact customer service so I could get a replacement or something as I had only worn the shoes for 3-4 months and the shoes at the time I purchased were around $80-$90. I decided to contact customer service so I could get a replacement or something as I had only worn the shoes for 3-4 months and the shoes at the time I purchased were around $80-$90. The customer service rep asked questions I never thought I would be asked, like, "How many miles did you walk/run in the shoe?" I'm not sure about anyone else but I don't record mileage on my shoes. They also asked me for the original receipt due to me buying the shoes at a shoe department store. However, who keeps a receipt for 3-4 months after purchase? I gave up trying to get a replacement due to all the hoops the customer rep was having me jump through. I had to send 7 photos to them with specific angles all just for them to tell me there was nothing they could do for me. For the price this brand sells their shoes for you don't expect for them to tear after a few months of use. It was a huge waste of money that I could've used for a pair of work shoes that would actually last me. I was highly disappointed with the customer service. The overall rating for the shoe itself I would say is a 3/5 due to the level of comfort the shoe provides, but poor/low quality fabric/material.

My favorite ASICS tennis shoe
19 February 2024

I love this style. They are lightweight and breathable. Easy to mist and clean with toothbrush. Dries so quickly. The only reason I did 4 vs 5 stars is bc two different pair got a hole in the top toe area. I wasn’t aware I could fill out something to ask for a replacement. I threw them out and ordered another. Those had a hole in 7 months. However, story has a good ending, I called in and customer service told me about the warranty form on line. I just had to send pictures of what they asked for and original receipt. It was approved in 2 days and I used the credit to buy the same style once again. That’s how much I love them 💜. I praise them for their customer service and backing up their warranty. I will continue to buy only ASICS tennis shoes.

This is my third pair of these I’m purchasing. They are so comfy and they match my scrubs perfectly. Because they are soft, I didn’t notice a “break in” period.I’m always on my feet, so it’s not weird for me to replace my sneakers frequently. My first two pairs both ripped in the toe (where the material is soft) close to the tip of the shoe. I would also recommend that the company find a stronger way to support the foam cushioning at the ankle. I always untie my shoes instead of trying to slip into them, but even so, over time the foam just completely shifts out of the location it should be. Will definitely checkout the next model of this and hope these issues are fixed. Right now, it’s the most comfortable pair I own, so I’ll keep wearing them.

Hello,Sorry to deliver the bad news.I am not happy at all with this purchase. They are so hard on the back of the foot that I still have a small bleeding hole after all these days of purchase and use. I cannot run - I do only spinning for now. for obvious reasons! I have had 5 pair of shoes so far - this is the 6th. I had Nimbus, Kayano and gt1000. Amazing shoes all of them. This time due to a smaller budget I purchased this pair of shoes and much to my dismay it was a bad purchase. As you could see on my profile I purchased another pair on 90.90 which I had to return and purchase this one as it was on offer. My questions would be: a smaller amount of money entails less quality? This one has let me down. I am not feeling discouraged of purchasing again, ... MoreHello,Sorry to deliver the bad news.I am not happy at all with this purchase. They are so hard on the back of the foot that I still have a small bleeding hole after all these days of purchase and use. I just feel that I would have to purchase nimbus at 120 pounds again and it would be a loss of 56 pounds for this one.

Walking on Clouds… Literally!
4 June 2024

OMG!!! These ASICS Gel-Excite 9’s are game changers for me!!! After going through 3 pairs of ASICs with NO problems, someone recommended that I try Hoka Bondi 8’s and/or Brooks Glycerins. Well I tried both and ended up with the worst case of plantar fasciitis. The pain in my heals after walking 4 to 5 miles daily was excruciating. The day that I put these Gel-Excites on, my feet felt as though I was walking on clouds. Plantar fasciitis what?!!! As a RN, I have tried various brands of walking shoes and after 28 years in this game, ASICS has my heart!

Walking on clouds!

The ASICS GEL-EXCITE 9 is like walking on clouds! Seriously, these shoes are crazy comfy. The gel cushioning makes every step feel cushy and easy on your feet, no matter how far you're running. Plus, they've got this breathable mesh stuff that keeps your feet from getting all sweaty and gross. And the grip on the bottom? Solid. You won't be slipping and sliding around, that's for sure. Whether you're hitting the pavement or the gym, these kicks are a winner for sure!
