I was so pleased to be able to purchase another pair of Gel Kayano 14's. My first pair I bought years ago and believe it or not are still going strong, albeit for purely recreational purposes these days ! I have bought a number of versions of this particular shoe since my 14's and although all very good I have never felt more comforatable than I do when I am wearing the 14 version. This latest purchase does not disappoint either both in materials used and overall comfort value, they feel exactly the same and are made exactly the same as my original purchased pair all those years ago. I am really chuffed with this purchase from Asics as I expect to still be wearing them ten years from now due to the exceptional quality.

I bought the "Metallic Plum" Gel Kayano 14 and I could not believe how cold they are for a pair of sneakers that has remained so hot all these years. They are like edible gold here in the UK - hard to come by like gold dust and when they are restocked, they are eaten quickly. I bought mine online and stayed out all day for the post man not dissimilar to how my dog awaits my return home after dusk. I tipped the courier - I was that excited (although I did not shoe it oops I mean show it. I am that cool). He said it was the first time he had been tipped. He asked me why I had been so generous. I told him I have never been happier to own a pair of shoes "I do not intend to fully wear out". I live in Manchester and it rains everyday. He said "right". I have since wore ... Once I am out of the car, I change into my church shoes to go into office. Comfiest shoes ever. Slick design. Cold silvery touch. Gel technology is Jetson futuristic and still reminiscent of the 2000s. I am about to wear it now. I will still take them off before I get out, don't worry.
Bought these as I always used to wear 2010's, 2040, 2050 that sort of shoes, had a brilliant cross country shoe too, but recently Asics and other brands have gone for elasticated uppers and large wedge foams, which I find do not last well. The Kayano is oldstyle gel shoe, firm uppers and wrapping feel rather that the elasticated modernday counterparts. Not disappointed, size and fitting are fine, sturdy shoe. Missing the carbon rubber ahar heel pad, but otherwise a familiar good quality product
Unfortunately these will probably be the last ASIC trainers I buy. It has far superior materials/design in terms of strength through interleaving heavy weave with other materials, then the newer trainers which maybe fractionally lighter…..I’m wonder if marketing will sell the newer design as ‘high tech’ and ‘ultra light weight’…weight saving probably negligible to most runners over probably cost savings of material and manufacturing!
The Gel Kayano 14 is simply an amazing trainer. The fitting, style and comfort is exceptionally brilliant and fantastic. I have never had a trainer that wraps around my feet with so much comfort and absolutely beautiful looks.
I bought these for lifestyle use. Very comfortable, lightweight and breathable. Definitely a pair that you can wear all day. Very trendy at the moment. The colour that I wanted (plum) was restocked on Asics website and had the chance to purchase at retail price and not resell. Very happy woth purchase.
Good Shoes, really comfortable, however after about 10 wears the shoe gets some weird creasing around the toe box. Kind of ruins the looks of the shoes. I think this happens with all gel kayano 14 models as this is my 2nd pair this has happened to.
