I bought a pair of Kayano 14's after being so impressed with the re-issue of the Kayano 14RE. Whilst the 14's don't quite have the style and subtle detailing of the 14RE, for comfort and motion control it is all but identical and a big step forward over recent Kayano models. As stated in my 14RE review I believe the older style forefoot construction is far superior to the recent mesh construction for a 'motion control' shoe. I'll take some photo's to highlight how Asics have, in my opinion, cut corners on the newer Kayano models which mean they do not function as well, are not as comfortable and don't last anywhere near as well as their older shoes. The modern Kayano just feels like a cheap shoe in comparison to the 14. I'll also include a picture of the 14 next to the 14RE so you can see the extra design details on the RE. Both the 14's are fantastic motion control shoes and really highlight how far the Kayano has fallen in recent years. Please Asics, either keep doing these re-issues or go back to this style of design/construction. Premium prices demand a premium product like the Kayano 14!

This shoe is the best of all time. A classic throwback that is even better with age. This shoe provides comfort and stability available for any task. I can't explain how much I love this shoe. As a guy who is active often this shoe is always the first one that I go to. It's stylish and is the perfect retro runner to fit with today's style. While not only being a style piece, this shoe is versatile and capable of handling any activity you might come across at any time. I cannot stop buying this shoe because I run through them from wearing them all the time. This shoe does not disappoint, and it will remain my favorite shoe that I have ever bought.

So pleased. I’ve always had an absolute nightmare buying shoes but ASICS never fail me! They fit perfectly. They are comfy from day one. They last for ages.I don’t wear them as running shoes just as everyday shoes that are suitable for insoles. I remove the insoles that comes with the shoes and put my own in. This is easy and quick to do as the regular insole isn’t glued down in the shoe.ASICS are so consistent and good. I’ve never had any issues and they are they only brand I can buy any of their shoes online and have never had to send them back.

ASICS trainers exceed expectations with their outstanding performance, comfort, and durability. The cushioning system reduces impact on joints during high-impact activities, while the traction provides excellent grip for stability and control. The well-padded collar and breathable upper ensure a snug fit and foot ventilation. These trainers are designed to last, making them a top choice for athletes and fitness enthusiasts alike.
I was so pleased to be able to purchase another pair of Gel Kayano 14's. My first pair I bought years ago and believe it or not are still going strong, albeit for purely recreational purposes these days ! I have bought a number of versions of this particular shoe since my 14's and although all very good I have never felt more comforatable than I do when I am wearing the 14 version. This latest purchase does not disappoint either both in materials used and overall comfort value, they feel exactly the same and are made exactly the same as my original purchased pair all those years ago. I am really chuffed with this purchase from Asics as I expect to still be wearing them ten years from now due to the exceptional quality.
Great shoes! Runners fall in love with certain models and cry rivers of tears when they are improved or discontinued. I love this shoe along with several others in this line. I am not as impressed with recent changes made to this product line. Thankful I can still find some of the originals. I have been relying on this shoe since a fall in Okinawa wearing a Brooks adrenalin left me with a 4 th degree sprain. Shoes were not to blame for the fall. Blame goes to an unpainted speed bump that was not visible on an early morning run. My Physical therapist stated that I would need more support than the Brooks could afford after my fall. Thankful for this shoe. It has not let me down.
I'm really pleased with this nice pair of shoes. Comfort is superior depending of your preference, ortholite insole combined with gel technology gives you a softer feel.Sizing: my TTS is 7.5 and ordered an 8 based on reviews. Length is ok leaving good space, in width maybe there is too much room for me. But not a big problem that I could solve with thicker socks.Overall quality is good but if the materials were a little better, I would give 5 stars and a preferred place as my number one sneakers.PD: Be persistent if you don't find your size. I copped the Cream/Pure Silver and the Black/Coffee ones.
I have 2 pairs of Kayano, Kayano 14 and the normal Kayano. However, I feel that the cushion in K14 is not as good as in the regular Kayano. The impact when I run with them feels harder on my knees. What I do like is that my toes are protected more with the material on the front part of the shoe. There is enough room for wearing whool socks, but they till feel a bit stiff. They are ok for short distances but not for a long race.
I recently purchased these and ran in them once. They were SO uncomfortable. They feel like there is no cushion at all. I had shin splints after running and my ankles were sore. I run daily and usually wear the Gel-Kayano 29, but I wanted to try a different pair since these are so cute. These were not it. I am so disappointed that I cannot return them. :( I do not recommend buying these unless you are only concerned about fashion.
I got this pair and nimbus 9 at the same time bring skeptical or uncomfortable footwear in case one needed to be returned. I got these delivered on a Thursday afternoon put a wooden shoe tree in them and was gonna give them a try at my gym. I use to jog 20-25 miles a week in my youth but cut back to 15 due to strength training and shot out knees. My first go in these shoes I ran 5 miles not even walking around just by placement of a shoe tree!I have yet to try my nimbus 9
