The right shoe for me, and I DEFINITELY appreciate the bright colors and reflective surfaces at night.I wish, however, that the sole was more durable, especially at the balls of the feet. I’ve had 6 (six!) pairs of Kayano 27s wear to the foam at that spot in less than 100 miles.

Great shoe for stability. Excellent construction and wear. True to size or, possibly, go up a half size!?? Only one problem: laces are way to short; can barely get them tied, so forget a runner's knot. Still a great shoe, but you'll have to buy longer laces!

I got this as a Christmas present. Really comfortable and supportive. I also really like the styling, but I think that ASICS have been poor in selling the shoes with very short laces that make it difficult to tie. Had to buy new laces which is disappointing given the cost of the shoe.

I have used these shoes since the Kayano 7. I love them. They are a great training shoe. My only gripe has always been the laces they come with. It is almost impossible to do a runner knot with them. Please please start providing longer laces
This model is a great shoe. I started with the V22 and now on the 27 an typically go thru 4 pairs of running shoes a year. I rarely notice the differences but this year I definitely notice a difference in the heel and how if strikes on the pavement. Way to go Asics, good improvement finally.
More than my expectations! very comfortable and now i feel more safe knowing i am avoiding future complications with my body due to my fast walking/running around my block.I wasn't sure about the colours as it was only option there but then got to love it, very useful too.The light weight where i was sold.
I did 6 miles right outta the box in the Kayano 27. I actually never even thought about them and just ran. That's a sign of a good shoe when you put it on and run and forget you have a brand new shoe on. There was no issues with rubbing or hot spots with them. Just enough cushioning without feeling mushy. Looking forward to my next runs as these break in.
I have been running in Asics for over 20 years. I like the stiff feel of the shoe. This new Kayan seems a bit tighter around the heel, but otherwise quite comfortable. If you like running in any of the other Asics shoes, this will not disappoint. Also, my teenage granddaughter loved the colors .
Years ago, I experimented with Nike, New Balance, Puma and others. I have run marathons in all of them. But ultimately, I settled on Asics generally, and specifically the Kayano as my day-to-day training shoe. On race days, I would opt for lighter Asics options. Now, at age 63 and 15 lbs. heavier, however, I only wear Kayanos. I haven't had problems with my feet, knees and hips, and I don't intend to start now. Kayanos are my insurance against injury.I bought a new pair recently--called the "Lite Show"--because they are simply fun. They remind me of when I was a kid and I got a new pair of PF Flyers. I couldn't wait to go outside to run. If you want to wear some fun on your feet, the Kayano Lite Show is worth a look.
fits a little more snug than the previous gel kayano's I have had (3 or 4 generations since i've bought this shoe). Only real complaint is that the shoe laces are way too short. But the shoe looks super cool and i've gotten a lot of complements. Very reflective and am overall pretty happy.
