The GEL-KAYANO 29 shoe helps create a stable running experience and a more responsive feel underfoot.Featuring a low-profile external heel counter, this piece comfortably cradles your foot with advanced rearfoot support. This helps keep the shoe lightweight while creating a more energized rebound in each step. A LITETRUSS stability feature is placed on the midsole’s inside angle. It’s designed to help keep your foot from rolling too far inward during your stride.

Have been with Kayanos for 15 years. Buy 4 pairs p/yr. I see people complaining anout the toe box being tighter but I have actually found the forefoot to be extra wide versus previous models. I placed it next to my model 28's and it is visibly wider. The 29 just seems "clunky". Not only in appearance but its feel durning my runs. Gonna try the GT 2000-11. Still an Asics fan but the 29 needs to be slimmed down in the forefoot.

I had the kayano 28 and i decided to buy the new model. Comfortable and steady specially as a overpronator. Very light and beautiful to wear. Due to kayano model i managed to recovered from torn meniscus. Highly recommended whoever is overpronator or having muoskeletal problems.

Great fit. Great look. Comfortable feel upon footfall. I’ve recently started Achilles recovery and these shoes have made my ankle and Achilles feel nicely supported and stabilised. Very happy.

I bought three pairs of these last week. They arrived extremely quickly which was great but I’m not entirely convinced they are the genuine article. The Tung is ill fitting and rolls under and slips to the side all the time. I have threaded the lace through the tongue insert to try and keep it in place but it doesn’t help. Also, one of the pairs even though they are all identical is much roomier in the total area than the others.
The Gel Kayano 29's are the first shoe I have ever bought multiple sets of (as in I put about 600km of pure running on the first pair and then rather than try a new pair bought the exact same shoe again). These have served me well for all distances up to a 50km ultra marathon. Great support and cushioning. Long lasting in my opinion if you only use them for road running.
After being a long time wearer of the Nimbus, my podiatrist requested that I switch to the Kayano. After switching, I could tell the difference in my gait and enjoyed the stability of the Kayano. I have been extremely happy to just buy the new Kayanos, but the 29 are just okay. I find the materials are inferior to the 28 and I noticed it wears out much faster than previous versions. I also think Asics should provide better colors for women to choose from as pastels are not everyone’s style.
I used to run, but now I use these for walking. They are so comfortable and supportive. I feel strong wearing these shoes. As someone who is fashion conscious I am loving the new colours and styling. Please keep bringing us on trend choices
I have flat feet and usually wear orthotics in my work boots. However, I use these Kayano's strictly for cardio activity or going on runs and the cushioning is amazing for someone like me with flat feet. I don't use orthotics with the Kayano's; don't need to as the cushioning is great. Time will tell as far as longevity is concerned.
I have had great difficulty in the last 2 years getting a narrow running shoe that is supportive, structured and comfortable. This version is even better than my last Kayano running shoe. Also the fabulous array of colours and designs ensures a great shoe that looks great too.
Shoes are otherwise perfect but the shoe laces are too short. Asics is a shoe manufacturer, but not a shoe laces manufacturer what I have noticed. I asked for longer shoe laces from customer service, but they will not provide this as a spear part. They want me to go buy extra longer shoe laces. The picture on the webbsite that shows the shoe laces is misleading. Do not expect to get what the webbsite promises, unfortunately!
