I have always loved the Kayanos, but the new version feels vastly different! It feels like there's a larger heel to toe drop, making the shoe feel less stable.

Had these shoes recommended to me by The Athletes Foot, along with a high insole. I was getting plantar pain when running in them. That has subsided considerably. Still getting use to the shoes being a bit spongier than my previous shoes, but so far I’m happy with them!

At the advice of my podiatrist, I needed to find a more supportive shoe...these are so comfy and supportive and great to wear for long hours at a time. Also, the bright colors are really fun! Highly recommend!
Bouncy shoes result in lilting feeling as I walk. Lifts spirits. "Lively" feet.Great investment.
These shoes are comfortable, but they are not good if you like running or walking or doing incline work on the treadmill. They are very squishy, slippery. They are not good for long distance work on the treadmill.
I run daily 3- 6 miles a day and have tried to break these sneakers in for the last two weeks. Running with them has caused my right knees and left upper foot area to hurt.I've compared them with other sneakers and have written a Log to ensure it is the new sneakers. It is the new sneakers. Footbed is wider than normal. Not as cushioned as past models.
The shoes have a very awkward and uncomfortable fit; the heel is curved in and causes pain even on a gentle walk. My ankles are bruised now. Meanwhile, the toe box is angled strangely so your feet are splayed out and a lot of pressure is put on your little toes. Overall, the gel-kayano 31 is heavy and stiff, causes pain and weighs you down while running. Not worth the price, very disappointing.

I was unsure about the new bulkier design, following in the footsteps of other brands, and they have a firmer sole that softens after a couple of wears. However the Gel Kayano 31 continue to provide the comfort and support I have come to expect from my ASICS.
