Very, very comfy shoe. Go up half size though. The gel actually works it isn't just for looks, very functional... every time i walk its like the gel cushions my entire foot including my flat arches... great shoe. the tokyo version is dope.
The kayano 5 og silhouette has been one of the most comfortable shoes I've owned from Asics, however the materials on these pairs weren't as good this time around. The cracked leather seemed cheap and the toe color was off putting. I expect a bit better for next release of the model

They look like I reached into a time machine and pulled them out. They are about as athletic as wearing two loaves of bread on your feet, and when you bend your foot the stiff, thick upper chafes again your foot some. That said, comfy, and very stylish. For wearing around the neighborhood, or even pairing with an ultra-dressy outfit, they're perfect.Warning: Size up! I'm normally a 10/10.5 and an 11 is a good fit for me/almost snug.
What a cool shoe! the textured leather is rad and has a cool vintage distressed look. Its my first pair of Kayano 5's so i ordered a 1/2 size up, which turns out i didnt have to. so a true to size fit, even if you have a wide foot like myself. Extremely pleased!! copping another pair ASAP
