This version was the first pair of Asics that I tried. years ago. To this day I have bought and only wear Asics. The kayano 5 in my opinion is the most comfortable pair of shoes I have ever owned. I was so excited to see a re-release. I'm buying many pairs just trying to find more color options. A +. space ship looking shoes are horrible. Asics have an athletic look and most importantly the fit and comfort are far beyond any other shoe, and I have tried them All.

For a while this product listing had the width as only available in "wide" and not "regular", which I thought strange since it was a new shoe and only in wide. Contacted Asics to see if that was a mistake but no replies from them. Finally another reviewer noted that the shoe was indeed regular, not wide, so I ordered. Awesome kick to wear casually. Love the colors. Fits length as usual - I'm a 13 in Asics running shoes and the 13 fits me here. Sole is firmer, less cushiony, but fine and perfect for a casual, Asics Sportstyle design.

Scooped these about a month ago and I love em. Super comfortable, great colors, and pretty easy to keep clean if you’re tedious about it like me. But man get ready for flash flooding ankle down. These suckers boil your feet at a solid 550* F until golden brown. These babies make the Mediterranean look like a puddle. These lil dudes make pools like they’re training the next Olympic swim team. These lovely little potatoes can go from walking on clouds to walking in jello. End
I know that these were at an amazing price, and they are nice looking shoes. I've worn Kayanos for 16 years and have seen the advances through the various versions. I currently have a pair of worn out 25s. In all the versions, size 13 has always fit perfectly. And I would always drop in a pair of Dr. Scholl's running inserts. Fit every time. These feel like they are at least a half size too small. The inserts don't fit. I can't run in them. If they were 14s they'd probably be fine, but these are too small - and that's a first for any Asics Gel Kayano I've purchased. I'll keep them because the price was amazing and they are fine for wearing casually, but I'll never run in these.
Got these about 2 weeks ago. They look great! Very comfy, though maybe a hair large. The only issue is the shoelaces. They are made with this satin-y/ silky material, that is too smooth so the laces never stay laced. Other than that great shoes.
This is my first time ever getting a pair of ASICS sneakers and I gotta say that I'm not disappointed.Love this colorway of this sneaker and I really like the blue and red "gel" at the back and under the sneakers. Love the lacing work too. The only thing that could make these better would be to up the quality in material on the green, yellow, blue, and red strips.They also fit true to size. I'm honestly amazed I've never seen anyone wearing them before. They're great for the price.
Looked great, felt that Kayano comfort, but ran small. Second Kayano shoe (other being the 27 I bought on Amazon) to have my regular size not fit me. It's odd because the Kayano 21 trainers fit me perfectly in my regular size; as did my Kayano 25's.I don't know what Asics changed with their manufacturing, but the inconsistency in sizing is quite frustrating. Only reason I haven't returned them yet is because I don't have the original packaging and am waiting until the weekend when I can make the lengthy drive to an Asics outlet.
They look like I reached into a time machine and pulled them out. They are about as athletic as wearing two loaves of bread on your feet, and when you bend your foot the stiff, thick upper chafes again your foot some. That said, comfy, and very stylish. For wearing around the neighborhood, or even pairing with an ultra-dressy outfit, they're perfect.Warning: Size up! I'm normally a 10/10.5 and an 11 is a good fit for me/almost snug.
Im a ASICS nut. I have Kayano 22 23 25 26. They are the best. I also have GT2000 and Cumulis 20 and 22. Love them all. 180s NYC Kayanos. In all I have 12 pairs of shoes now. I purchased the VKZN 'and it is the worst shoe I have ever worn, downright uncomfortable. I would return them but I dont meet the return criteria. Goodwill here they go.72 years old 60 marathons. First shoes were Ontisuka Lasse Viren model. 58 years in ASICS forever.
