The materials are interesting too - the grey mesh looks better in real life, it has an almost wool-like quality. I bought this before a city break and they were very comfortable. One of the best casual trainers I’ve bought for a long time. I run in asics and now I will walk in them too!

I really like the retro vibe, and it looks good on foot. The shoe feels pretty comfy underfoot also. I have a slightly wide foot so I went up a half size. The show tends to run a bit narrow. It’s a quality shoe at a price point you don’t see that much anymore.
The shoes were comfy, but the tongue was really dumb how it was split like that. It wouldn't close, and I don't have wide feet.And the shipping was pretty lackluster. I like a nice clean shoe box. This shoe box was slapped with labels, put into a plastic poly bag, no padding... came in all damaged and mangled. I hesitate to order from ASICS directly again, as there is no reason you can't use a box to ship your shoes.
Having been a life long buyer of a different original brand, other than owning a few pairs of tigers many years ago, I'm really happy with this purchase. I recently broke my ankle and was looking for some additional comfort to use in rehab and recovery. The split tongue and gel cushioning are perfect as my ankle was swelling in normal trainers and the tongue allows a little bit of extra width when required. Plus they look amazing and are eco friendly. Will be buying more pairs as and when needed!
