Engineered eyelet shaping helps the upper move more naturally with the foot, while a stretchy midfoot panel appropriately hugs the foot to generate better flexibility. Providing the runner with excellent shock absorption and softness, the GEL-NIMBUS 24 delivers more compression in the heel thanks to its softer GEL technology cushioning unit and contoured design lines. Also, a gender-specific TRUSSTIC device provides an articulated amount of support in the right direction for men and women to help generate a smooth transition. Under the toe, the inclusion of gender-specific pillars help cushion the body and help runners experience a softer feel. Simultaneously, the ORTHOLITE X-55 sockliner equips runners with a forgiving, yet responsive stride. The components of the GEL-NIMBUS 24 shoe help increase the softness without forgoing the integrity of the shoe's ride. Asics Gel Nimbus: always a great shoe!

I’ve been buying the Gel Nimbus for years and it never disappoints. The 24 comes in a bunch of different colours so it was hard to choose. I went for the red and I’m so pleased with this choice!! I’m very tempted to go back and get the icy silver, just because of that little orange bit in the heel.My shoe size runs between a 7 and 8, depending on the shoe, with 7.5 usually doing the trick but for this particular shoe, I need to go with an 8.For me, there is nothing to dislike about this shoe. Of course I wish it was a bit cheaper but it’s worth it for the quality, comfort and fit of this shoe.I’m not a “runner” but I’ve been known to jog here and there. I wear these mostly for walking and they’ve never disappointed.

Awesome shoes!

I have been wearing Asics for many years now. I began to wear them when I developed plantar fascitis. I healed within a few months and I only wear Asics for walking or being on my feet for extended periods of time. These are very comfortable, have a good arch support and are very well cushioned. I ordered these just before my Disney World vacation so I wore them for the first time there. I walked in these and another new pair of Asics Nimbus 22 for a week. We logged over 50 miles in that time and my feet did not hurt at all. So happy with these. I wear a wide width and these are one of the few shoes that fit me well. Highly recommend.

Awesome!

I got the white/silver in size 8, which is my usual size in Asics runners. I wanted a neutral colour that I can wear not just for physical activities. It's like walking on dense foam. My first pair of Asics were Nimbus 20, and I just threw them out this past spring. I have 2 other styles of Asics runners right now, and they are also comfy, but if the French blue were in stock in my size 8 in this Nimbus 24, I think I'd get them as well. I sometimes wear my runners without socks, but with these I need socks, because the upper stitching/finish on the inside is a bit rough. The upper is definitely more stretchy on the 24 than it was on the 20 (no stretch). I have average width feet, probably leaning towards narrow. The stretchy upper allows for a comfy snug fit. I no longer run, haven't in about 10 years, but I walk a lot, pavement and trails/hikes, and I bike, so that's what my runners are used for. I plan for these to be my "dressy" runners, lol, that I will wear with summer dresses and shorts on days when I'm walking across the city with my sis, eating pastries and catching up.

BEST SHOE YET!
23 May 2022

I am currently training for a marathon. Last weekend, I had my longest training run yet: 20 miles. The morning of my long run, my new Asics Gel-Nimbus 24s showed up at my door. I debated: wear my new shoes without breaking them in or wear my 300+ miles Gel-Nimbus 23s. I went for it and decided to wear the new shoes. THEY WERE LIFE CHANGING! Didn't need a break in period at all and they felt like running on clouds! For someone with a whole bunch of toe, calf, and knee problems, these shoes helped me so so so much! Don't hesitate. Buy the shoes!

Can’t recommend this shoe
9 November 2022

Unfortunately can’t recommend this shoe. ASICS have just gone downhill last few years. Wore Kayanos for 20years then sizing issues made me try the gel nimbus. Had Nimbus 23 and they were ok after I had to get half size up but once worn in I had an issue with the arch support. So I decided to go back to a size 9 for this Nimbus 24. Hoping they had finally stopped mucking round with the toe box. That’s ASICS big problem they narrow it and then peoples show sizes are out. So many people complain on line about sizing and blisters. Soooo, I’ve given up. This Nimbus not only gave me numb toes on both feet, it wasn’t even a particularly stable shoe at all. I was very surprised at that. ASICS were so good but last few years they’ve lost the plot. I can’t recommend this shoe. Already listed on eBay. I’m forced to try another brand because I’ve simply had enough of Asics. If you are a person who only buys the same brand then I would really suggest you go in and check your sizing before purchase. I was loyal to Asics for over 20 yrs but sorry they’ve lost me now.

Cha,Cha,Cha, Changes

I have mixed feelings about this version of the Gel-Nimbus 24 Wide shoe. It is definitely supportive and comfortable on my feet but once again the wide portion is not quite wide enoughAnd squeezes a bit more than I prefer. The tongue is another issue for me because it actually hinders my ability to put the shoes on.It’s like a rubber band has replaced the tongue. I actually find myself reaching for last years worn out ASICS instead of my new ones because that tongue is so difficult to navigate when putting on those shoes.

Disappointed in these shoes
17 January 2023

I want to start off by saying I'm a huge fan of Asics. I've been buying them for over a decade as my go-to running shoes. I regularly recommend them to anyone who asks. After this purchase I probably won't anymore...For starters, the shoes are not wide by any means. They're standard shoe width even though they're marketed as wide. They're also made of incredibly flimsy material. The shoe tongue isn't even a real shoe tongue it's so thin. I previously had the Gel-Nimbus 23 and they were significantly better. I wore these shoes on a single 2 mile walk and they are already falling apart. I also experienced leg pain I haven't experienced with any shoes before. I am truly in shock at how horrible these shoes are.

Significantly different than previous version, but still good.
12 February 2023

My wife and I have been wearing Asics Nimbus for almost 2 decades, and Asics keeps making slight changes here and there. This version (#24) is quite a change - I'm not sure we like it yet. The upper construction is more like a sock now (many shoe companies have gone in this design direction), and we found the fit is more snug than before. It's not nearly as soft and padded inside as in previous versions; however, the sock-like fit conforms to the foot more than before, and is comfortable. We needed to wear thicker socks for this new version. Lot's of reflective points for visibility at night. I personally feel the #24 shoe is manufactured more cheaply than the previous versions, but the selling price is still as high. This doesn't mean it's not as good, but it has less features than older versions, and doesn't appear to be as robust or durable. It is a very comfortable snug shoe though, and noticeably lighter and more breathable than the previous versions.

This is what I have been looking for!
8 March 2023

I am in my 60's and I used to walk 16-25 miles per week. A bout of plantar fasciitis in my left foot cut that number considerably. Then I developed achilles tendonitis in my right foot. I did a good amount of research and discovered that the cause of my Achillies Tendonitis was probably my zero drop shoes. The Asics Gel-Nimbus 24 was recommended in so many articles due to their cushioning and higher heel to toe drop. The collar is also well padded and and does not put pressure on the Haglund's Deformity (lump). These shoes feel great! I'm back up to 3+ miles on most days and I have had no problems. My only complaint is that much about this shoe seems to have changed in the newest version (25). BUMMER

Very different than 23.
4 May 2022

I've been running in the Gel Nimbus since inception. I'd say 75% of the time the release doesn't disappoint. I've had about 4 versions that I did not care for at all. The 24 was not a subtle tweak. I found the shoe to be lighter, stretchy ( the tongue in particular), and wider. I've only been on 1 10 mile run so the verdict is still out hence the 4 stars but I had no pain, rubs or discomfort. I take 2 10 miles runs a week so the 5th star will come when I see how the material holds up. My pace slightly increased which tells me that I wasnt focused on my new shoes.
