These are laceless but without a velcro strap. Stretchy strings are supposed to keep the feet secure, while allowing the feet to go in. But aftee 1st wear, the laces already stretched and won't go back. I'm skeptical about how long they will last.

Great looking shoes, and they for well. Easy for my 4 y/o to get on and off without help.
I like asics shoes all the time, as they are really good for feet. I was a bit disappointed when I received the shoes as I thought they are lace-tied shoes. I hope Asics can have real lace-tied shoes for this little size as my little one always complains the shoes were not tight enough.

My son barely wore these – maybe a week – and he told me that the gel was already coming off and the shoes were bad quality. (He is nine.) I took a look and he is accurate. All of the back gel on these shoes chipped off. The bottoms, insides, and outside, all look pristine, but the back looks terrible. Complete waste of money. Not at all like the quality of other ASICS. Do not buy!
The shoe wasn't the size and when i tried to return it in store they wont take it because its been worn but how can i test it if its not worn once for my kid to see if its comfortable.
