This is a good looking shoe but the top of the tounge digs into the top of my foot.Only Asis I have owned that does this.I will continue to adhust the laces to get comfortable.

Build quality and comfort of what one expects from Asics. A little tight around the heal but will ease after a few more outings - hence only 4 stars.
This is a very versatile shoe. Right out of the box I was able to hike through some rough terrain and also walked many miles on the concrete. The shoe was comfortable in all situations. In my opinion it feels like an older style Kayano with a different upper and lace system.
Very high-quality and good-looking, however I had to return mine because they run noticeably smaller than my other Asics running shoes. I've owned four pairs (Gel Excite, Venture) in the U.S. 9.5 / EU 43.5 size. In fact, I'd say my other Asics run about 1/4 of a U.S. size unit large on me, whereas the Gel Terrain runs about 1/4 unit too small. In particular, this shoe seemed to compress my forefoot (scrunch my toes). The toe box looks a bit pointier than my Gel Excites so it's difficult to say if the shoe runs short or if it's the taper. I might try the next size up but want to wait until it's available on Amazon or Zappos or a local shoe store because returns to Asics are not so easy and cost me a restock fee. I loved the way these shoes looked. Unfortunately they were not true to size, or at least, were very different from previous and current Asics. I've had that happen before with other Asics. Though they were 9.5 on the label they are actually a little big or a little small. In this case they were small. Too small to be comfortable. Sent them back. Too bad, great looking shoe.
The shoes are fine, comfortable and shipping was quick. But this is why I don't like ordering clothing over the internet, as the colors weren't exactly what I was expecting.Now I look like I'm wearing a pair of mint creme Oreos.
My hips and knees don't respond well to the ultra-soft sole / footbeds in the latest fad runners. The Gel-Terrains are so much better - they provide the most stability of any training shoe I've worn. And they're incredibly supportive comfortable and durable. Thumbs up!
I bought almost an month ago and well it's very comfortable to wear it as an everyday shoe, or for hiking.I ordered online with store pick up. It took a few days, but worth it the wait. Make sure you try on an asics before and you know your number before ordering online. Sturdy, soft for your feet, looks great. Happy .
I’m a woman who generally orders womens gel kayano wide width. My options are limited as to colors and style. So I opted to look at the men’s shoes and see if I could find a pair I liked. I found the gel terrain and decided to try them. Men’s shoes are naturally wider than women’s so I thought they would work for me. Although they don’t have as high of an arch as gel kayanos, the fit is good and I really like the color. I wear a 9 1/2 women’s so I ordered the men’s size 8.
