These trail runners have an aggressive tread pattern, comfy upper and very cushioned sole. Comfortable right from the first step. ASICS are my go to brand for running and trail shoes. Only downsides are that the highly padded sole doesn’t provide the most natural foot strike and feels slightly less stable. Great for heal strikers

The Gel Nimbus 23 is my favorite running shoe. I use it in spring and fall as it's not great below 30F or above 60F. I use some "light" version of the Gel Nimbus in the summer. I don't love it, but I'm not complaining much. I use some much cheaper Asics trail shoe in the winter as it's a warmer shoe and is basically waterproof. I can stomp in puddles and such with little issue. I expected a better version of the cheapo Asics trail shoe and I almost got it.I'm signed up a for trail run so I wanted to get a new pair of trail shoes. I bought these. They fit perfectly right from the start and needed basically zero breaking in. They feel good and were lighter than I expected....lighter than my Gel Nimbus 23s. I ran on the street to get to the trail. No issues! Great!Once I got on the trail I decided to run through some grass at 7am in July. We have lots of dew here. As best as I can tell, these shoes sucked up more moisture from the grass than was actually available. Yes, these shoes break the laws of physics! (Slight exaggeration.) My toes were soaked in 100 yards of running in grass. Yuck! After finishing the 4 miles my feet looked like I had soaked them for 30 minutes. I've never seen that before. So, I'd say these are the perfect trail running shoe for me if I ever run in the desert. As is, I'm not sure what to do with them. Maybe I can wait for another drought or something. I tried spraying them with some waterproofing spray. It knocked the moisture down maybe 60% but it was still completely excessive. I guess I'll spray them again. These shoes seem to let moisture in and not EVER let it out. It even takes them longer to dry than any running shoe I've ever seen.

I tried in the shop. Fits well. I ran with them. Great. So great. Traction, safety, rebound on all my terrains: wet sand sea beach, asphalt, sharp rocks, railway granites. I bought a second pair before they disappear from the market.
Ordered these and could tell straight away when i tried them on in the house they were going to very comfortable. I did end up returning them though as my problem was the lace tabs materail for two of the points goes internal to the shoe and these were sharp and i could tell unless i had thick socks (which i dont always want to wear) that this material from the tab would rub the top of my feet. I didnt want to take the chance and them be wasted after a few outings. I thought i'd order a different style but when i looked all the other Asics trail runners had the same lace tab design.
I've been getting Asics shoes with goretex as my go-to winter and wet weather shoe for many years now. Good traction on snow and ice - as good as a shoe without traction aids can be. Fits my wide size 12 feet perfectly straight out of the box. In the summer, I switch to something more breathable but do pull them out for rainy weather. Just a great shoe all around, especially for colder, wetter conditions. Could also be considered as a light hiker if you don't need/want the added ankle protection of a boot.
This is my second pair of Trabuco, having some 8’s which are still going strong after many hard miles. The 10’s seem every bit as good so far, with the same Asicsgrip sole for good mud traction and downhill grip with the added bonus of the gel sole for more cushioning on harder surfaces. Glad to see the upper seems as durable and the laces picker in the tongue still there. A good looking and capable shoe.
I began to have pain problems in my ankle, during more than a month. I didn't understand why. Until I saw a review of how Trabuco 10 sole was really wearing out very fast on the inner side. As I still had older Trabuco 9 with more mileage I compared them just to see how bad and fast the sole of Trabuco 10 was worn out. This problem was provoking the ankle to suffer much in long runs. I put my older Trabuco 9 shoes and did a long run just to notice that I didn't have any problems.
ASICS is my brand of choice since many moons. The fact that they have half sizes really makes me completely sure that my feet fall really comfortable in any shoes. The Trabuco are my go to shoes for trail running. They're light, adapt to my foot, and never cause me any pain or injury. The wife doesn't like the colour but, they, at least I can be seen from a distance. And I do really like the colour. So, the wife dosn't have any vote on the matter. Not that she won't say it out loud.... All in all, these are my preferred bt of gear for trail running. They do well in sand, mud and slippery conditions. And they really last long..... in terms of material. If you go running a lot on the road, the sole will be gone in no time. But, for trail running, it will last!
Used for 22km so far, over some very technical terrain. Very impressed, in that I simply haven’t noticed the shoes at all. No niggles, no rubbing, no slipping/loss of grip. They’ve simply just got on with the job. Previously I’ve been buying Hokas, but they fall apart too quickly, I wanted to try a different brand. I’ve tried Salomon and Inov8, but had discomfort in both. If they last, I will definitely be buying them again.
