These supposedly have the maximum cushioning but they are very hard and uncomfortable. My running shoes are much more comfortable. I had hoped to find a comfortable trail runner but looks like they don't have one if this one has the most cushioning. Love their running shoes, but this one strikes out.

I am wearing ASICS for 20 years and has never disappointed me! Again, quality trainers ! Snug on the feet with plenty of support around your ankles. Easy on my knees, with plenty of cushion, going over bumps is an easy task with these babies, they have already done 50 miles! I personally love this particular colours, I can't stand one dimensional single colour trainers, my preference off course! It's all about personality and these trainers have it indeed! Well done ASICS, you have made another winner!

These supposedly have the maximum cushioning but they are very hard and uncomfortable. My running shoes are much more comfortable. I had hoped to find a comfortable trail runner but looks like they don't have one if this one has the most cushioning. Love their running shoes, but this one strikes out.

Terrible! The right shoe does have a hard position which hurt my feet. I think there was a fail in the production process - the left one is perfect and without any problem. I will get in contact to asics. I only wear several asic models since 2013, starting wirh Gel Kumo3 and all pairs were perfect. Hope asics will solve my problem.
I bought these about 9 months ago and they have served their purpose well. Good grip on mud and loose rocks, but still fairly light. Have enough cushion to keep going for a long while and have done me well. After 250km (155 miles) they started to tear between the upper and the sole along the side. These tears have continued as the shoes have now reached a mileage of 270km (167 miles). I believe that these shoes wont last far beyond 320km (200 miles). The only other slight issue was that the shock protection on the sole is quite poor in my opinion as sharp stones and rocks are felt very easily. The only thing to note is that I do race these shoes in hill or fell running races, so this may be a reason that they haven't quite filled the Asics Expectation. Great grip, stability and durability. Could benefit from more inner cushioning to prevent achilles rub/soreness. Increased fore fore cushioning in the ball of the foot without sacrificing outer stability would also be great.
Asics are one of the few manufacturers to accomodate people with big feet. Very comfortable, grip on muddy hills is good but not the best. Easy to take off which is handy when they are covered in mud! The only slight niggle is on steep down slopes the laces tend to concentrate the force at the top making them a bit uncomfortable if i have thin socks on.
I am extremely pleased after investing in Asics GEL-TRABUCO TERRA. Now,I confidently run on poorly maintained and uneven pavements and paths. The toes no longer feel crammed.I need a 0.5 size bigger GEL-TRABUCO™ as compared to my usual size 7. I had no problem in using the (free) return arrangements of Asics and get the size 7.5 within a week or so.
Just worn on my first trail run on mixed terrain including road, woodland and gravel. Found them to be very comfortable out of the box and a good fit. Loved the sole felt protection even over the sharpest of stones yet felt cushioned throughout. Would recommend to the point that I'm thinking of getting a second pair.
True fit. Excellent cushion. Easily transition from trail to road. Surprisingly good traction on soft ground. Effective protection from rocks. My runs are 5-10 miles and 50/50 road and trail, and these little beauties are a definite everyday driver. I only have about 30 miles on them, so I can’t speak to tread or upper durability, and it’s been mostly colder temps, so breathability is still untested. I suspect if they continue to perform the same I’ll get another pair for spring shenanigans. I was a fan of the Cumulus for its versatility, but these perform lighter and are obviously more trail oriented.
