The GEL-VENTURE 6 NS trail shoe has been modified for today's urban explorer. Its traditional materials have been reworked for when you're shifting from the outdoors to city streets. The upper is layered with no-sew panels to create a modern aesthetic. These panels also offer targeted support, which help keep your feet locked-in. Meanwhile, the tooling features rearfoot GEL technology and a trail-specific traction pattern. These components work in unison to provide advanced shock absorption and grip on various surfaces.

I run somewhat supine (on the outside edges of my feet), about 60% hard surface and 40% dirt, about 25/30-miles/wk. The GEL-Venture in its various iterations have been my go-to shoes for many years now. ASICS' last-shape and sizing on the GEL-Venture has been remarkably consistent between generations and different pairs of shoes, so I've never had any problem with ordering them direct, several pairs at a time -- most recently the GEL-Venture 6.The soles are a stable shape and fairly grippy. Cushioning is good, though I'll add a gel-pad under the heel in shoes that see downhill use on a hard surface. I'll get about 200/250-miles (two-months) out of a pair before grinding all the way through the outside edges of the heel and toe soles. They have enough cushioning left to keep running in them after wearing through the soles, but their low price combined with my running form simply encourages a new pair of shoes. Overall consistently well-made, and at a price that encourages running in fresh shoes.

I needed a trainer to walk in every day, roads & fields with absorption. These are perfect. They are light & comfortable. No wearing in needed. No blisters or rubbing. My feet feel cool in this hot weather. Not sure how long they’ll last with everyday wear but I’m happy for now. Bought in sale. Great deal & arrived quickly. Happy

Great look and shape shoe which are comfy day shoes. Nice and sturdy but still soft on the feet. Nice colouring too. Only slight drawback of the material is the toe starts to crease a tiny bit fairly quickly from kneeling but only minor.

Very comfortable, the material is lovely. Shoe fits well - I have wide feet so this is usually hard to manage. It looks nice and I can wear it casually if I want. Only thing I would say is that the grip/ridges on the bottom of the shoe is quite deep (which is great for grip) but it also means that it is easy for things to get stuck there like dirt. Otherwise, great shoe!
My 2 previous pairs of shoes were Asics and I tried a couple of times to buy replacements locally. Stores didn't seem to have many Asics. The 3 pairs of shoes I bought (not Asics) I didn't like. I was reluctant to buy direct from Asics because without being able to try on shoes I wondered how that would work out.I finally went to the Asics site and with the help of a chat agent who I told how I was going to use the shoes and a couple of other bits of personal information. The agent was able to determine the model of my previous Asics a couple of current models that would be most like my previous shoes. I selected and bought a pair. I received them and I'm very happy with them. They fit and feel like my previous pair!
Shoe if fine but listed weight is grossly inaccurate. Asics specification lists the weight at 10 ounces. I purchased the shoes, placed the pair on my kitchen food scale and determined the actual weight to be 24 ounces for the pair.I’m climbing Mt Whitney this summer, about 22 miles and 10,000 paces. An extra half-pound per step means My legs are lifting 5000 extra pounds that day compared to the advertised weight.
I have been wearing ASICS for .some 30+ years nowAll those years ago, I was running almost every day and normally ran 6 or 7kThen, on medical advice, I had to stop runningI hated swimming so I started daily walking of around 4k wearing ASICS of courseMy last pair were at least 10 years old so I had to buy another pairI am 82 years old and when I went to a barbecue last weekend wearing my shiny white brand new training shoes, my grandchildren thought I was really “Cool” whatever that meansThanks ASICSOldie James
Our family buys trail runners for all purpose sneakers that we can wear for light day hikes as well as running and walking. This is heavier than I really love for running but it's just what we needed for our other needs. Bought for my son, who says they're very comfortable. He's hard on shoes and they wore well. He's skinny but from my experience the ASICS gel trail runners that I've worn myself are supportive for heavier folks too. It's one of a few brands that consistently feel good after long wearing time and have smart construction for an athletic shoe. I trust the brand. Styling is a little ho hum but the family likes them well enough.
As far as I am concerned, you won't be wronged with any pair of Asics. The G-Venture 6 was very budget friendly with the birthday discount I received. The fit is very comfortable, even after a full shift on hard surface with varying fast paced activities. The look goes well with my work attire, however, the one complaint I do have is with the laces. They would constantly come loose right after tying, even though I would double knot them. Since they are used as work shoes, I always do this as a safety precaution. I was already considering buying new laces, but now I just make sure my knots are really tight which seem to do the trick. The one thing that has me coming back for my next pair, is I no longer have the unbearable foot pain I would get from being on any hard ... MoreAs far as I am concerned, you won't be wronged with any pair of Asics. I bought my first pair of Asics in 2009 when I was visiting my younger sister in Boston MA. We were due to visit New York for 3 days and I didn't have suitable footwear so on my sisters recommendation I purchased a pair of Gel Asics. They were amazing, so comfortable and well suited for my flat feet condition. I have purchased several pairs since and they never let me down. I recommend them to all my friends who are also converted!
