After a tough training week in preparation for a Half Marathon, I was pleasantly surprised to have these shoes arrive as I had heard the hype of these shoes as excellent recovery shoes.Slid my feet in to the Glideride Max and it fit snugly like a glove. I had ordered a US10.5 as it was my usual shoe size but I had also usually worn a 2E Wide versions of Asics in the past but was pleasantly surprised that I didn’t need it. The cushioning doesn’t envelop the foot like the Invincible Run’s but you do feel like you sit on top of a cushioned surface. It will be interesting to see how these shoes feel after a few hundred k’s as the ZoomX foam on Invincible Run’s began to lose its cloud-like feel at that range.The shoe grip was good on sand covered concrete paths and dewy timber board walks without any observable slippage.Shoes felt airy and light and feet were not overly warm or uncomfortable.I had the opportunity to run in a pair of Asics Superblast 2’s in the last 2 weeks and coming from a spritely tempo+ paced shoe to these definitely felt different and so it should based on what the shoes are designed for. Superblast 2’s are my fun shoes, Glideride Max’s are now my go to recovery shoes.Overall, these shoes are comfortable and great for easy to moderate paced and recovery runs. The FF Blast Max Foam feels so cushioned yet stable underfoot. These shoe will fit nicely in my shoe stable and I’ll happily alternate these with my Nike Invincible Run’s.

Love you Glider line and this is a MAJOR upgrade. The shoe has fantastic mid-sol now and the lift is perfect far better then the 2 version. I have purchased 3 pairs so far!
Great running shoe nice feel great comfort and support ratio. Good room for a 2E. Mainly run 5-10k has been great so far.
Sometimes you are just at the right place at the right time.I was fortunate enough to experience gliderides from their very inception and I absolutely fell in love with them!I’ve also managed to have every model since then and I now have the the Glideride Max.These shoes just seem to suit my running style and if I’m honest between these and the Novablasts I’m pretty spoiled.The upper on the new Max is super comfortable and well cushioned while maintaining a relatively lightweight shoe (255g)The flight foam cushioning has amazing absorbing power and guidese technology really does give you a great toe offOverall this is a great shoe and for the price you definitely get good quality shoe for great value
This is just about the most disappointing shoe purchase ever for me. What was once a bouncy, rockered and rolling shoe has now become a sludgy max cushion nothing shoe. There is still a plate, but the foam set up pretty much negates any impact from the plate. You can still feel your foot tip forward if you try to utilize the rocker, but the soft heel landing puts you on the backfoot before you even get to the rocker and the soft foam in the forefoot mutes the potential propulsive effect of the rocker. Softness would normally at least provide comfort, but I haven’t even gotten that and have had forefoot and ankle discomfort the further I’ve gotten into my runs. I’ve only done 2 runs, a 20km and a 10km, but that’s it for me. Both were a real slog, like running in ... MoreThis is just about the most disappointing shoe purchase ever for me. I’ve tried to take them out again a few times, but returned home before I got to 2km and put something else on.This is all subjective of course, but I don’t see why this needed to be sold as a Glideride. It looks like a Glideride and has a plate, but it doesn’t feel like a Glideride at all in my opinion. It’s more of a Nimbus variant. I almost feel like I was duped into buying something I would have otherwise had no interest in. The Glideride 3 was not perfect, but it did what it did. I am not sure what this does apart from being soft.As for positives, the lockdown is pretty good, but even then I was getting pain on my foot not far from the top lace eyelet and I noticed that where the tongue is sown into the elastic gusset (I don’t know what else to call it), the material is puckered on one side of one shoe which caused a pressure point. The sizing itself I would argue is pretty much true to size, but the toebox tapering can cause toe rubbing. I am somewhere between a US 11.5 and 12. I actually went with the 11.5 wide (I don’t normally wear a wide). The forefoot is not that much wider in the wide, but it did move the tapering away from my toes. The 12 probably would have been ok too, but the heel lockdown didn’t feel as secure. The shoe is soft, so if that is what you like then this is probably as much an option as any other max cushion shoe. The Max foam portion of the midsole does feel soft, but with that is a lack of response and the longer you run, the less responsive the midsole gets. I wouldn’t say it bottoms out, but it does become more and more sludgy.So there you go, now I just have to try and sell them.
Amazing shoe with an even better cushion. Literally feels like walking on clouds but with added control. Furthermore, they did not require a break in and felt comfortable from the first minute. The perfect running shoe to alternate with my Novablast 4's.
I bought this shoe about 2 weeks ago at a local run store, compared to the nimbus these are way more responsive/bouncy and gives you great cushion and stability for those easy long runs. I’ve been enjoying these for those easy long runs and superblast 2 for those tempo long runs.
I hated the Prime X, the Skyward X and even the Superblast 1& 2, so this was my last attempt at high stack shoes. Well, this one is a hit!! Very comfortable, good lockdown , incredible midsole, stable, grippy, and the roll through the stride is really where it’s at. Definitely my new longrun shoe!!
