ASICS GT-1000 12 Running Shoes Blue EU 48 Man

Our approach for the GT-1000 12 shoe was to modernize the shape and make it more comfortable. It's designed for an active lifestyle and is functional for running or wearing it to the gym. The shoe is reimagined with a soft mesh upper, a new heel shape, and a more comfortable sockliner. These features are also met with a tongue wing construction that helps provide a more supportive fit. LITETRUSS technology is placed on the midsole’s inside angle to reduce pronation. It helps produce a more supportive stride while keeping overpronation at bay.

A good medium grade running shoe

This is my second pair of GT 1000s I’ve bought in the last year. They are a good shoe for people looking for supportive training shoes or those who have a mild pronation running form. I rotate them with another pair, using them twice a week for my medium distance training runs of 10 to 20 km. My first pair lasted almost 800 kilometers before needing replacement. Overall I recommend them and feel they are comfortable and affordable training shoes. Also pleased that they come in big and wide sizes.

Great tennis shoe! Comfortable, durable, and great traction when playing tennis. Asics make great shoes. Thanks ATR for your insight and expertise in choosing the right shoe.

Great purchase, very comfy so far, hopefully will last longer than the GT-1000 11 that wore out very quickly. Good pronation support, not over the top.

Great lower-budget alternative
31 August 2023

My previous GT-2000 for women wasn't a good fit for my wide feet/long toes, changed to men's version this time which is wider and 0.25cm longer and they fit perfect. Chose GT-1000 this time for financial reasons. Not as good cushioning as Kayano or GT-2000, but still a very good option. I'm happy.

I’m a Mizuno Man
17 June 2021

I have been running in Mizunos for about 25 years. It was after buying my first pair that I found just what I was looking for. As a result, buying new shoes became simple - same size, same brand. Oh, the fancy names have changed but not the quality. I probably do 65 Km in a typical week and my Mizunos are part of the adventure.

Lack of stability but great design
4 May 2021

The design is great but these shoes are very unstable, I feel that lack of support all of the time and there is that sensation that I will loose my shoes anytime. these shoes are making mu running experience very poor which is a pity because the design is very good. I definitely cannot recommend these running shoes

Mold has been changed and is smaller than before

I almost never do reviews unless im really unhappy. Im a long time Asics wearer. I have never failed to find a nice new decent pair of asics shoes in one form or another over the years. But ever since the 1000 9 the new shoes have never fit me the same. The shoes are all shorter and narrower in the toebox and for me that doesnt work. I have big feet. 13 extra wides are the bare minimum for me w/ asics and both the length and width seem to have been cut by 1/4" at least (measuring the midsole). Inter model variation you say? I have, WITHOUT FAIL been able to purchase older 1000 9's and OOTB they have fit me like a glove EVERYTIME (new model would be the 4th time ive bought them). A bit more snug than id prefer but very wearable and i have walked in them for years. ... MoreI almost never do reviews unless im really unhappy. Im a long time Asics wearer. A bit more snug than id prefer but very wearable and i have walked in them for years. After that date the new models instantly were too narrow in the toebox. I have tried 1000 10s, 1000 11's and now 1000 12's and they all feel the same terribleness on my toes w/ the same shorter mold. Some people may be fine, but the mold shift means i cannot even buy Asics anymore due to this. Maybe 14's would fit, but then it'd likely be too long and too wide. Not sure. All in all asics has chosen to penny pinch rather than make their customer base happy. Seems to be the norm these days anyways. I am very frustrated and as a result they will very likely lose a long time life customer as a result. Be warned that these models have changed.

Brilliant overpronation shoe. Love my asics shoes, so bouncy and comfortable to run in. I’ve tried other brands but alway come back to asics!

I’ve never worn trainers that felt so comfortable from the first run! The fit and support is excellent! Won’t wear anything else!
