First impressions, these look great, but seemed to be very bulky at the back in comparison to my previous Asics... Looks can be deceiving! I can only describe the feeling of running in these as light, airy and having an extra spring in my step. The pur gel system works extremely well and I genuinely feel less impact running, which makes it easier to increase distance. The material in the fore foot is very flexible and keeps my feet cool over longer distances. These are both comfortable and a fairly technical pair of running shoes that are well made. They are expensive... but they do feel like a significant upgrade from my last pair, hopefully they will last more than a summer or two!

I found my way to the ASICS GT-2000 series after using a number of other shoes for my over-pronation. I loved the GT-2000 10, but I still had a minor niggling pain in my heel. It has completely disappeared with the GT-2000 11. The 10s felt like running on clouds - the 11s are a bit more stiff to me, but the support seems to have marvelous physiological benefits. The only room for improvement is the tongue - it could be a bit wider. Unlike with the 10s I cannot find a way to lace these (esp. the left shoe) without a tiny bit of discomfort in the upper - which I felt more after running, than during.

I've been putting these ASICS Gel-Kayano running shoes to the test for a month now, and I've really enjoyed running in them. Ive been using them for indoor sprints as well as longer outdoor runs, and these shoes have been a great addition to my training. The level of support they provide is really great, giving me the confidence to push myself without worrying about my knees which in the past have caused me issues while running longer distances. The shoes are not only supportive but incredibly comfortable, making each stride a breeze. If you're in search of a pair of running shoes that truly have your back (and knees), these would be a good consideration.

Great for Long Runs - My first impression is that they are super light. Considering how lightweight they are, they felt super cushioned & bouncy, which I love. As I got into my run, they felt really stable and secure, which I was so pleased with because usually new running shoes take a few runs to break in, but these felt amazing!!I have shared a few images of the shoes in store and at home, with a video demonstrating how stable they are while jumping.I am so impressed and would definitely recommend this for long runs.
This is my 2nd pair of Asics running shoes, and they more expensive than I'd normally buy.First of all they are a good looking pair of shoes, but that's not really what matters in a running shoe, so on with my running experience in them. I slipped my feet in and the fit was perfect and we set off on our first 10K together. I'm nut sure if it was me not being used to the FF BLAST PLUS cushioning or the Gel in the rear and front but the GEL-KAYANO 30 felt heavy on my feet, and my leg muscles ached in places they hadn't before, I also had issues with my Achilles despite or maybe because of the AHARPLUS™ heel. Despite all that I managed the run in a decent time for me.I've now completed half a dozen runs in them and it may have just been that either they needed ... MoreThis is my 2nd pair of Asics running shoes, and they more expensive than I'd normally buy.First of all they are a good looking pair of shoes, but that's not really what matters in a running shoe, so on with my running experience in them. These are probably one of the best pair of trainers I have worn. Incredibly comfortable, very stable on a run and great for being out and about. Certainly gives you the "walking on clouds" feeling. Impressive cushioning whilst ensuring solid sustainability credentials.I have wider feet and this was true to size and spot on in terms of fitting (which is a relief). I would highly recommend this for anyone who loves an active lifestyle. The colour options also add a nice touch!
Really comfortable running trainers. They feel like you are walking and running on clouds. Really very comfortable and a joy to wear. Fantastic support; I am flat footed and I found them very comfortable for long periods of time. They also are breathable and airy so feet don't overheat and keep them cool. Excellent support for ankles. Not necessarily the prettiest in terms of aesthetics but that's probably personal preference.
Ignore the hype about the foam midsoles and "guardrails". For a second year, Asics has decided to make this model TOO MUSHY and TOO SOFT to be a true stability shoe anymore. Also, no longer is there an external "bridge" piece embedded in the midsole. (Sounds like cost-cutting to me). So, what is a traditional series GT 2000 wearer to do? Look elsewhere, of course! Find a Version 9 somewhere if you can but AVOID the versions 10 and 11.
First time running in ASICS and I'm impressed. Having read that earlier iterations of this shoe tended to come up small, especially in the toe box, I was a little worried, but this new designed model seems to have overcome that obstacle - I had no issue with my usual running shoe size (being a size up from dress/casual shoes)The shoes have a premium look and feel, matching the price tag, which is noticeable as soon as they are on your feet. Cushiony soft with a comfortable upper that holds your foot securely. These are definitely a shoe for longer, slow runs - the weight prevents them from being used for speedier workouts or tempo runs. Think long Sunday recovery run - this however makes them a tad expensive compared to other shoes in the same bucket.Overall, ... MoreFirst time running in ASICS and I'm impressed. I had tried dozens of supposedly "water/sweat-proof" headphones over the past 20+ years, and didn't found any that could last more than about 5 miles of sweat. I do sweat a lot. These are the first to do it, and they have many other benefits. You are able to hear cars, etc approaching. You don't have the irritation/annoyance of something being in your ear or covering it. And the microphone quality is amazing. Nobody can tell I'm on Bluetooth - it's infinitely clearer than the Bluetooth connection in my car and other headphones. My wife can even hear me better than when I actually put my phone to my ear. Also, the battery life is great, and they charge very fast.I would highly recommend these. They're worth every dollar.
