It has just been almost a week in this pair of shoes, but several observations are worthy to note. At 67 YO, having had knee surgery on each knee a few years ago, having had Achilles rupture surgery, and being a power lifter, I walk/run 4 miles a day. With this pair of shoes, Achilles tightness is virtually gone, calf tightness is virtually gone, right hip pain is gone (grapefruit size tumor removed years ago). My feet feel fantastic while wearing these. Having the small degree of stability built into the shoe with the right amount of cushioning has made a measurable difference in my aging bones.

Great fit! This shoe hugs your foot just right without it being tight! I have low arches and what I thought to be a rather somewhat wide feet…I was wrong. I fit ASICS standard size and the toe box was spacious and comfortable!Compared to last years GT-2000, this one is better! The flex in the bottom sole is much better! Highly recommend!

My true to size, size is a 10. I purchased a 10.5 and it’s a tiny bit too long but after running in them. It’s ok. Extra wide is wide enough. My right foot is a 3E and the 4E fit great. They are really light compared to other stability shoes I have in rotation. I have done some tempo runs and intervals in them.I really don’t have another choice to find 4E running shoes race in.One thing I hate with shoes that are in 4E category. BLAND COLORS!!!

Got a couple of runs in and this shoe is as good as advertised. Very comfortable quite stable and smooth transitions. There is also some versatility here I would say this shoe is good for mostly everyday to tempo, may work well for progression runs. 4/5 as the fit is true to size but the fit is accommodating and with asics shoes break in is needed. Would buy again when I retire my current pair.
These running shoes as amazing! They did give me some sore feet and ankles the first time I used them but had no problems after that. The sole is very cushiony, responsive and supportive at the same time, especially for my flat and a little wide feet. The upper feels nice too and lockdown is spot on! Will be trying out the gel kayano 31’s next when they come in the mail, so far very happy with these shoes and definitely recommend.
I'm an experienced but non-elite runner who mildly pronates when running slow and strikes mid-foot when running faster. Even for slow, routine runs, I feel best in shoes that have very little to them. For example, I was a BIG fan of Asics DS Racers when they were available--just a little heel in the back and very lightweight. When the DS Racers fell away, the DS Trainers worked well enough too, but now it seems most of Asics shoe lines have thick, chunky soles that force the foot to strike in a certain posture. I debated between rating the GT-2000 13 a 1 or 2. At first, they felt springy and comfortable, but I quickly realized that they severely strained my lower back and hips, causing me to conk out after only a few miles. The instant I tracked down some used DS Trainers I felt like myself again and could get through my typical 6-8 miles with no problem. I wish Asics would keep a line going with similar mechanics to the DS's.
The ASICS GT 2000 have been the only runners I’ve worn over the last 15 yrs. As a life time runner (61 yrs of age) , and as I get older, it’s crucial I wear a supportive shoe and 2000’s have been my support.I only purchase when on sale so appreciative of the recent Black Friday sale from ASICS and free delivery. In this costly world, every cent is important.I’ve bought other runners from rival companies before for something different but always return soon after as I develop soreness. Somehow the GT 2000 prevents me from developing any aches or pains.Lifestyle runner,Frank B
I've tested this shoe for a good couple of months now and am liking them! As someone who 100% prefers a firm ride, I was initially skeptical. As prior to the changes we've all seen in stack heights and increased plushness to midsoles, the GT-2000's were quite firm. But I've thoroughly enjoyed them so far for my long recovery runs. Personally, I like the stable feeling provided by a full-contact mid & outsole, and although cushioned, I don't feel like I'm falling through the shoe.
These are my son's favorite sneakers. He has worn this particular model for several years now and refuses to buy anything else. We've tried other brands and even other Asics models and these are the only ones that fit right and feel comfortable. We will continue buying these as long as Asics continues making them. Please do not change them.
mismarked sizes or bad production. Disappointed in the fit. They lie about fitting wide. They don't fit any wide like my husband DD not even close. Return difficult because site does not function. Had to call. Overall, very disappointing. Don't have time for incorrect information. Shoe were also like marshmallows very difficult to walk in Ordered mid support. Would have to order no support. The one rated with most support must actually be dangerous to walk in.
