It has just been almost a week in this pair of shoes, but several observations are worthy to note. At 67 YO, having had knee surgery on each knee a few years ago, having had Achilles rupture surgery, and being a power lifter, I walk/run 4 miles a day. With this pair of shoes, Achilles tightness is virtually gone, calf tightness is virtually gone, right hip pain is gone (grapefruit size tumor removed years ago). My feet feel fantastic while wearing these. Having the small degree of stability built into the shoe with the right amount of cushioning has made a measurable difference in my aging bones.

The 13th generation appears better than the 12th generation, which was not as good as the 11th generation. I have bought two new models of Asics running shoes, and both appear to run a half size smaller than the earlier models. Need to buy a full size larger than normal or dress shoe.

These GT 2000 are slightly different to my previous ones. Higher heel guard & thinner tongue. These have orange flashes on the bottom heel area, which would be good for running in evening light. My only criticism is the laces they are still flat laces in slightly round hole they twist & are not easy to undo or pull up. I wish they did this stability in a walking shoe. As I had been recommended this shoe by a foot clinic for over pronation.

I have low volume, slim feet and several tendon issues, and wear this GT-2000 style as my primary walking and everyday shoe. Over the last 5 years there have been a number of changes to the fit and fabric, but this current model fits well and has a stronger fabric upper than some prior. I am buying my second pair while the size is available. I always stick a circle shaped shoe hole prevention patch on the inside above my large toe to prevent fabric tears. Grateful for Asics making the only true narrow athletic shoes. But--wish they would offer at least one other color option for us narrow gals.
I loved the GT 2000 11. I did not like the GT 2000 12 at all (too wide and squishy) and had high hopes for the GT 2000 13 only to be disappointed, again. The upper mesh and toe box is great and the fit is more narrow, but the shoe feels like it's weighted in the heel and seems quite heavy when walking even though the actual weight of the shoe is lighter than the GT 2000 11. When I wear my OTC insoles my foot is pushed to the inside of the shoe and rubs against the shoe. The shoes are not any more comfortable with the factory insoles.
Got a couple of runs in and this shoe is as good as advertised. Very comfortable quite stable and smooth transitions. There is also some versatility here I would say this shoe is good for mostly everyday to tempo, may work well for progression runs. 4/5 as the fit is true to size but the fit is accommodating and with asics shoes break in is needed. Would buy again when I retire my current pair.
Good fit and cushioning, wide toe box. True to size. As a forefoot/midfoot runner it has good energy return without too much weight. Used for half-marathon training and runs, and performs well.
Shoes are ok, not quite what I expected as I have worn this and other models for years. These felt different and not in a great way. Truth is I’m not wearing them much now and doubt I will as They also took a really long time to get here relative to the “estimated “ time on the web page so I went a bought a pair of NB.Contacting CS for details on delivery was fruitless as they just told me it was just and estimate. Tell that to my race date.Anyway might not be back for awhile.

Even for slow, routine runs, I feel best in shoes that have very little to them. For example, I was a BIG fan of Asics DS Racers when they were available--just a little heel in the back and very lightweight. When the DS Racers fell away, the DS Trainers worked well enough too, but now it seems most of Asics shoe lines have thick, chunky soles that force the foot to strike in a certain posture. I debated between rating the GT-2000 13 a 1 or 2. mismarked sizes or bad production. Disappointed in the fit. They lie about fitting wide. They don't fit any wide like my husband DD not even close. Return difficult because site does not function. Had to call. Overall, very disappointing. Don't have time for incorrect information. Shoe were also like marshmallows very difficult to walk in Ordered mid support. Would have to order no support. The one rated with most support must actually be dangerous to walk in.
