Well, in my experience anyway. Loved the newer lightweight feel, higher heel and more room for the forefoot. But there’s something not right, the famous scientific factor of Kayanos is missing in right shoe of my pair. 29s if the same size and fit were more supportive in the upper skeleton of the shoe, but I had to change over since their inner sole didn’t last long (became hard and flat in a few months) and using an insole would make them too tight. I supplemented them with Reebok for a while and then turned to 30. The right foot 30 is giving a sore lateral mid foot and discomfort under the ankle, at the end of the day 6hr day. Also gives pain on standing, the body’s weight is “felt heavily” on the right foot in the 30. When walking I have to put effort into ... MoreWell, in my experience anyway. No such issues with 29s n Reebok.Higher cost understandable, design liked, but disappointed by quality. Bottom sole’s grooves are extremely superficial and will diminish soon. Luckily I had kept the 29s for ☔️ and am back to using them and Reeboks interchangeably. Bought 30s in July, hardly used- wasted.

When I first saw the new generation I was worried! This was not my favorite Gel- Kayano because the gel was no longer visible. But when I put it on my feet...The best Kayano ever! The most comfortable shoe in the stability category. In the outsole of the GEL Kayano 30, a 4D Guidance system is implemented, which combines safety and comfort. The sole is a bit wider and makes me feel secure when running fast. At the same time, I feel exceptional comfort thanks to the gel plate under the heel. My foot sinks right in there and I've never had that feeling with a stability model before. The design is great despite my initial judgment and the mesh is so soft and breathable. I love my new Kayano 30!

Every runner will have their own preference for shoes, dependent on their running style and the type of running they do - so for context, I usually go for Brooks Launch for road running, which has minimal cushioning and is very light. The Asics Gel-Kayano has a lot of cushioning in the sole and I found the heel height quite weird. The back of the shoe also has a lot of cushioning around your heel but I found this pushed my foot forward. I got this in my usual running shoe size (one size bigger than other shoes) but because of the forward tilting heel, my toes felt forced into the end - perhaps need to go 1.5-2 sizes up. The sole itself didn't seem very flexible, perhaps because of all the foam, so running felt quite flat footed and not very springy. After trying ... After trying these on a few 10k runs, mostly on pavement, I went back to my old Brooks, which make running for me more comfortable. The Asics are fine for walking, though I think the bulky sole looks a bit weird. The colours on the shoes are nice though, I particularly like the blue on the foam at the front.

I waited until I had some miles on my 30's to write a review. This spring, I was told by our local running store staff that Asics was changing the Kayano to be similar to the Hoka. His words were, "It's what the Hoka wishes it would be." Truth be told, I was a runner since 1979 of all distances including marathons until 2011 when I had to make changes and switch to hiking, walking, and other types of physical activities. I still wore my Kayanos but needed more stability and cushion. So I switched to Brooks Ariels. I like Brooks Ariels, but were difficult to find in my size (11B or D) and a light color. So I thought it best to try another brand. A couple of times I tried Hokas but the pain in my feet, knee and especially my hip from the shoes was unbearable. I tried ... So I thought it best to try another brand. A couple of times I tried Hokas but the pain in my feet, knee and especially my hip from the shoes was unbearable. I tried several models, none worked. That's when the guy at the running store recommended I wait until the new Kayano 30 was released. When they were released, I went in, tried them on with my orthotics, and from Day 1 they have once again become my go-to shoe. Yes. I'm older. Yes. I have aches and pains here and there. But these shoes have once again made walking, doing intervals, and just plain wearing them and being comfortable a delight. Size Women's 11W with orthotics
I’ve worn Kayano’s for years. I have flat feet and flare ups of plantar fasciitis. The new design of the 30 is a real disappointment. Initially, they feel great. They have a lots of cushioning and I recently learned if you have a flat foot you should buy a wide shoe. I did that and thought I found the perfect shoe. But then I put some walking miles on them and noticed my midsoles were in a lot of pain. Then my heel pain started to flare up. And my arches were killing me. All of the arch support that were in previous versions is gone. I don’t think this whole ‘maximum cushioning’ trend is the greatest thing for people with flat feet. We need some cushioning, but we also need some support. I’m going to try Brooks adrenaline. I hope they work. My feet are killing me.
These running trainers are amazing. I love ASICS trainers for running and have had a few pairs in the past so jumped at the chance to try these. They are fabulous. Well cushioned, supportive of the whole foot and especially around the ankle area. I tend to overpronate but purchase shoes for a neutral foot and these were perfect. Sizing was spot on too. I usually size up a little as I find that my feet swell with running so best to have some room. I'm usually a 5.5 shoe size but take size 6 for running. These were perfect. I'd recommend doing the same.I love the pop of colour too. They look very stylish without compromising comfort. My only comment would be that they feel quite snug when getting on but once your feet are in, there is no discomfort at all. They feel ... The most comfortable and fastest stability trainers that I have ever worn. You can definitely feel that this model of Kayano is more cushioned which hasn't compromised on stability in anyway. Asisc have been my preferred running shoe for a number of years and I was excited to see how the latest edition of the Kayanos measured up. My first impression of the trainers is that they looked premium, the base of the shoe seemed bulky but I quickly got used to it and it did not feel bulky whilst running. I really like the bouncy sole and extra cushioning it provides. The trainers feel lightweight and breathable, and provide great comfort and stability even during longer trail runs. The foam and gel cushioning absorbed impact well and assisted in softer and smoother landings. This is an extremely supportive and comfortable trainer, and really delivered mile after mile. The shoe looks stylish and well made, and I also like the subtle reflective details. As always ... I have a wide feet to begin with and normally I wear Hoka’s in wide and I have no problems but I wanted to give ASICS a chance. These are the shoes recommended by the representative at Nordstrom and at first they seemed comfortable and supported. This feeling, however, did not last long as the shoes are narrow and hurt my feet in different places every time. I would get more foot pain walking in the shoes then I would from any other shoe. My foot was getting overly compressed by the shoe and the area near my arch would hang over the cushion, causing pain. The heel cushion would dig into my heels. Even the outside of my foot by my toes would be raw by the end of my work day. I highly recommend Hokas over these not only for their actual wide sizing, better toe box, ... No more sore feet or achy joints after long hours on my feet! The comfort level is off the charts! The moment I slipped my feet into these shoes, I felt like I was walking on clouds. The interior is so plush, and the materials used are top-notch. Plus, they have a perfect fit, which is something I always struggle with as I have slightly wider feet.I've been wearing them for a couple weeks now, and the durability has been outstanding. The soles show minimal signs of wear and tear, even after putting them through some rigorous activities. It's great to know that I won't have to replace them anytime soon. The style is a winner too! They come in various color options, and I received so many compliments on how sleek and stylish they look. Not only are they great for work, but I've found myself wearing them casually as well.Lastly, the breathability is worth mentioning. My feet tend to get sweaty, especially during intense work days, but these sneakers have excellent ventilation, keeping my feet cool and dry throughout. In conclusion, if you're on the lookout for a pair of sneakers that offer top-notch support, incredible comfort, durability, and style, look no further than the Asics Gel Kayano 30. I can't recommend them enough! Happy stepping! 😊🏃♂️🏃♀️
