I've been using them for marathon training. Done over 400kms and still going strong. They're great for easy and recovery runs. Not fast by any means but they're nicely padded, comfortable and built to last. I've had this pair for over 4 years. Had a break from running, came back and they're still all good. Did 24km today and they held up great. Might even buy a new pair and run my marathon in them. They're probably not the best shoe ever but for the price, these are the best thing I can find.

I usually buy the Kayano's as I have flat feet, and they've always lasted me for years. However not a fan of the huge soles that seems to be becoming the norm, so thought I'd try something else instead of the Kayano 30's. These Contend 8's - for the price - are great!!

I bought a pair of these about 2 weeks ago and couldn't believe how quickly they arrived but more importantly how comfortable they were. They felt so good and the price was really good value so I bought a second pair. I previously had bought Asics and found them to be very durable but I had bought Standard sizing rather than the extra wide I really should have been wearing. At the time I didn't realise that was my correct size. Despite that they very very had wearing and long lasting.. Now that I know my correct size I look forward to great usage out of these shoes. I am so impressed I have just bought some Asic shoes for walking as well, so probably won't need any more shoes for quite some time. I like these running shoes. The extra wide fit suit my foor shape. Very comfortable and were very good value from the ASICS shop online.
Bought my 3rd pair of this line of trainers.Great value.Not enough padding in the insert - but- add a $4 pair of latex inserts and they feel like the $200 models.
These asics are surprising light and the width suits my feet fine and seems to give me more stability than slimmer shoes do. Loved the all black model which is slightly dressier (e.g. goes well with jeans) than the black and white model

I purchased these shoes approximately a month ago. ASICS have always been my preferred choice of shoe. After buying 3 pairs over the last year, no matter the extra size or width they do not fit true to their size anymore. I have 3 new pairs that I need to on sell now at a huge loss. My family and I will in the future purchase other brands.
I just love these shoes, I have hip and knee issues and I find Asics always help. Was nervous ordering online both sizes and colour. So pleased with them thinking of buying another pair
