The GEL-KAYANO 29 MK shoe creates a stable running experience and a more responsive feel underfoot. Featuring a low-profile external heel counter, this piece comfortably cradles your foot with advanced rearfoot support. Asics also updated the midsole with FF BLAST PLUS cushioning. This helps keep the shoe lightweight while creating a more energized rebound in each step. A LITETRUSS stability feature is placed on the midsoles inside angle. Its designed to help keep your foot from rolling too far inward during your stride.

Bought this shoe two months ago. When ot was about $300. Its come down to $130. What does that tell you. The previous model was excellent. After a running in period of one month i took it on a relatively short 11km, run. It was uncomfortable on the run. It injured me. For three days after that I had to strap up my knee and at least next few days were uncomfortable. Used the old Kayano, and had to go easy. For someone who does over 140km/month I find it unacceptable to spend so much money on crappy shoes. In addition what's with all this rainbow colors. Its long distance shoes, that will get dirty, not some thing to match some gay outfit. Three colors should be max. Asics was known for function not weird rainbow colors. If its not reflective and tasteful, its not on. ... MoreBought this shoe two months ago. When ot was about $300. Its come down to $130. What does that tell you. The previous model was excellent. The no tongue sock liner takes some time getting used to. Otherwise they are comfortable. Tractions seems a bit slippery in the wet, but haven't properly tested that. Have heel slippage when wearing non cotton socks, such as poly/nylon for moisture wicking. feet slide forwards, unable to keep your heel locked in. But is mostly solved with cotton socks. Try on in store with cotton and non cotton socks. I think the tongued version would be much better. It's possible the size of a tongue helps push the foot down into the heel. I'm worried the no tongue sock liner will loosen over time, creating unnecessary space inside the shoe.ALSO there was nothing in the description talking about the shoe being a no tongue sockliner which is very misleading production description. ... Dropped the ball on that one webteam. I thought the MK stood for some weird colour / model scheme. Otherwise i would have 100% bought the NORMAL style.

I have been running with Kayanos for as long as I can remember but these have the added benefit of being slightly taller around the ankle, which really is a benefit since I use bespoke orthotics. It just gives that extra height, which means that the orthotics can just sit on top of the insole. The stability and cushioning are great as normal.
Good for running walking and everyday. I really like the built in sock tongue as it never moves or adjusts. Shoes are light and comfortable.
Second time buying this exact pair for my elementary-aged son. He thinks they look cool and are super comfy, even for his wide feet.
Great shoe. I love the flexible material and how I almost don't need laces. The non-tradional tongue is a great feature. I've already bought a second pair for when I've worn these out just in case this tongue style is discontinued. Great fit, great shoe.
The sole is coming apart all around the bottom of the shoe. I continuously have to apply super glue to keep it together. For as expensive as this shoe was, this should not be happening in less than 6 months. Customer service didn't even bother returning my email. I will not buy again.
The fit of this shoe is terrible. Its so tight around the ankle, and top of my feet that it stops circulation to my feet and I loose feeling in my foot. There is no way to loosen the fit around the ankle, or across the top of your foot. So unless you have small feet there is no way to adjust these.Do not buy these unless you have a way to test them first.I bought these online so I had no way to trying them first. I stuck with them on and off for a few weeks to see if they would "break in", but they are still so tight that I will just have to not wear them.
Very comfortable and supportive. Makes running a bit easier. Everything you would expect from Asics
