I really, really wanted to love this but they caused me a lot of pain. Initially putting them on, they were extremely comfortable and I liked the feel and style of them. After taking them on a test run, these might be the worst shoes I have ever put on my feet. My calves and feet were killing me after two minutes, and I ended up with pretty bad shin splints for the next week or so.This is partly my fault, these just weren't the shoes for my feet. I have pretty normal arches, but I do overpronate (landing on the outer side of my foot and rolling inwards). Thankfully I was able to return these in store and get fitted for a more appropriate shoe. The associate said these shoes are best for people with neutral feet. I have been wearing Asics for years. I recently had surgery for Plantar Fasciitis and was having difficulty being on my feet for long hours since the surgery. I have spent so much money on shoes that were recommended to me by the podiatrist that did my surgery, with no relief. I decided I was just going to go back to Asics and I read the reviews from other nurses and a couple of doctors on the website for this particular shoe and made the decision to order them. All I can say is WOW!! So comfortable from day one. So much cushioning and support. If you are looking for a shoe with support, cushioning and style, these are the shoes to get. You won't regret it. I bought gel nimbus 2E 8.5 menâs just 2 weeks ago. I have been wearing gel nimbus for over 10 years and they are terrific comfortable shoes. Number 26 is the best fit and more comfortable than any others in the range. The snugg fit around the ankle and the softness is amazing. I also like the finger loop at the heel. This makes it so easy to get shoes on. I am a woman with very wide feet. I have a neuroma on my left sole and always had to wear orthotics before I found the wonderful gel nimbus shoes. I didnât need to wear the orthotic with gel nimbus which saves me a huge amount of money each year. I normally 3 pairs at once. Congratulations on making an amazingly stylish and comfortable shoe.

I wanted to love these so much, but it's the worst feeling Nimbus I have ever tried. This is the tightest 4E shoe I've ever put on my foot. The "sock-like" liner is a not-so stretchy material that squeezes the entire foot. Even with the laces removed, it's still a VERY tight fit. I know it is a new shoe, but I don't know if mine was a factory defect and they sent me a D width with a 4E label, or what? Also the ankle collar is an odd design. It's like it clamps the back half of the ankle, but then there is nothing holding the front part of the ankle area. I've had other Asics that have a form fit cushion around the ankle, but this would not let my foot sit low enough to wrap around the ankle - Almost as if the measurements were for a size 9 or 10, but left the same ... MoreI wanted to love these so much, but it's the worst feeling Nimbus I have ever tried. It you are the slightest bit claustrophobic, pass on this shoe. If you can try it on BEFORE ordering a pair sight unseen, I would 100% recommend doing that. I'm going back to the Brooks Ghost.
I bought these shoes after being fitted at Fleet Feet in February. At first, they seemed great. Despite being on the heavier side, they were very comfortable, and felt like they had decent spring. I wore them for part of my half marathon training and for the race itself. Unfortunately, once I hit about 120 miles of wear, they started giving me blisters. It seems that the cushion in the back of the heal has worn so much that itâs left the fabric loose, which is whatâs causing the blisters. I normally get at least 250 miles out of my shoes before I even think about a new pair but already had to buy replacements. Iâm very disappointed in the durability. This was my first experience with ASICS running shoes and makes me very hesitant to try the brand again.
I have been a loyal âKayanoâ girl since I was in primary school. I am now a Registered Nurse on a very busy medical ward and spend roughly 12hrs/day on my feet. And the thickness at the arch of the shoe is very unappealing. Why canât we just have the shoe to be 80% shoe, 20% foams + rubber sole. Am I the only one finding it harder to like the looks of asics?Just give us ladies some colour options. Iâm a Nurse who needs predominantly black, but full black is boring so I usually go for the darker option âlite showâ or ANYTHING other than pastel colours and whites. I canât purchase a single pair of the latest est Kayano due their all white/soft pastel colors for ladies. So here I am, speaking on behalf of all us Nurses, but us nurses want BLACK/NAVY with bright colors so we donât get blood, vomit, pee or poop stains on them at work, but also look schmickđđź PLEASEEEEEEEđđź I LOVE this colour, but itâs clearly stated men. Give us some colour instead of the boring pastel, white and pasty colours. It gets dirty. Ok, and they are all just screaming to be christened by your old primary school bully. thanks for coming to my ted talk.
Overall, I am a complete convert to ASICS! 55 yo marathon runner who just ran her 18th marathon at Disney World (Dopey Challenge) in the Nimbus 25 after wearing Hokas for years. ASICS Nimbus are the superior shoe. They are not clunky at all and I feel faster when I run in them. I al also a physician and I wear them for overnight shifts. My feet feel fantastic in this shoes. The Nimbus-26 are an improvement from the Nimbus-25. Same amazing support without the pillowy, slightly bouncy feel of the Nimbus-25. The 26âs are incredibly comfortable and I feel even faster in them without sacrificing the comfort of a more supportive shoe. Did a 15 miler along Bostonâs Heartbreak Hills two days ago in the Nimbus-26. PHENOMENAL SHOE! I hope ASICS will over more colors in the ASICS Nimbus Wide 26. I have broad metatarsals but an otherwise slender foot. The Nimbus -26 wide is an improvement from the Nimbus-25 wide. Plenty of room across my metatarsals without looking bullky. In summary I highly recommend the ASICS Nimbus 26 for distance runners and for all healthcare workers who work long shifts. You wonât think about your feet at all! They are truly amazing and a substantial improvement from the 25! Thank you ASICS!!!.
The first pair I purchased was from Fleet feet they sized them a size too big as they didnât have the size I needed in a wide and I was told that was normal protocol after a couple days of wearing them they let my foot slide too much and wore blisters so they happily returned them no questions asked but I must say other than that they were the most comfortable shoes I ever put on my feet. I then went to an ASICS store and was told I would have to order the wides on line which meant I couldnât try them on first but that if there was an issue after wearing them for a few days I could return them online. Unfortunately that was what I did. I am very disappointed and will not order anymore ever online. I wish I had gone back to fleet feet and let them order them for me. So I guess I wonât be buying anymore
The first thing that caught my eye about this shoe was the stunning, summery colour that it came with. I was also very impressed when I held them for the first time, and as bulky as they initially looked, they were super light! To carry on with my initial impressions, I didnât want to believe that they could be any comfier or softer than the previous model, and to my surprise, they really were. After running around 60km with them, I have found a few major changes to this shoe in comparison to the Gel-Nimbus 25, although overall theyâre very similar. As a neutral shoe, aimed for longer jogs, the Nimbus 26 pretty much guarantees max cushioning and comfort for miles on end, whilst keeping the bouncy and comfort. With both shoes having the Pure Gel in the heel area, thereâs plenty of comfort and a super enjoyable landing for anyone running with a more heel pronounce technique. The upper mesh and knit tongue are an absolute highlight of this shoe, and I am very glad they kept using this feature; it provides comfort whilst still allowing breathability. The addition of rubber to the outsole seems to be adding durability and grip, with a very minimal weight gain. The most noticeable change is that the bottom of the lace throat loses the âWâ shape and is now a âV,â the lacing system gets more built up with wider straps over the arch. I find this extremely helpful as my ankles tend to become unstable after a few hours of running, so this new, simple feature has been welcomed. The most significant changes are the firmer midsole, helping them become considerably more responsive than the Nimbus 25, but also keeping a very similar soft feeling.Apart from those improvements, overall, itâs a very similar shoe from the Gel-Nimbus 25, and if you enjoyed the previous model, you will certainly enjoy this one. It feels good to run in and itâs a much firmer shoe and up there as one of my top pics for longer runs.
I had another pair of Gel-Nimbus years ago and, for that shoe iteration, I thought that there can't be something worse on the market. However, when I tried the Gel-Nimbus 26 everything changed. You feel like you're flying in this running shoes. The comfort is great, the cusion is great, also the upper feels good. The only disadvantages that I see are:1. The upper that is very comfortable but a lilttle bit too thick. In the summer days your feet get overheated.2. The weight. A little bit too heavy for my like.Overall this shoes are perfect in my shoe rotation for the easy, recovery runs.I tried running in the Gel-Nimbus 26 also some short speed intervals and the boost and the energy return of the shoes is very interesting.
