Bought these last year for thru hiking in NZ. I've used Salomon up to now but wanted more cushioning in a more affordable shoe without giving up being able to feel terrain underfoot. Even without a rockplate these shoes have great track feel and front foot cushioning on the boniest of ground. Traction is generally good on most surfaces except hard clay which most shoes struggle with, and foot slip minimal on rough terrain amd steep downhills. After river crossings these dry quite fast and have a sock liner so your toes don't wear holes. I have wide feet and foundnthe 2E normal fit perfect. If the front side panels had a little more protection they would be more durable bit I think the newer 2024 version has these. Great value beginners trail shoes, really pleased as I am a big ASICS but have never purchased trail shoes with them before! Light and protective and lasted a challenging run in the peaks!

I bought these because I accidently left my Gel-Sonoma 7's behind when abroad. These are a great replacement! True to size fit. Nicely cushioned but not excessively, which I find better for road running.
They're a wide fit at the end of your foot so swimming a little in it. The tread is great which Is the main reason I got them. Only found out they had a gore tex shoe just after I'd worn the pair I got online so I dont think I can upgrade, bit disappointing as these just aren't a good fit.!!!
These shoes are verging on dangerous on any smooth surfaces such as rocks, concrete footpaths or timber - even flat textured concrete. You feel a loss of traction with every foot plant. Apart from that and the unattractive colourway they seem fine, but I wouldn’t feel confident using them in a lot of situations
These are a great product, so far these have proven to have great traction on track, trail or off trail such as up creek a or around the Ruepehu trails. I have wide feet and they tend to blow out by the ball of the foot before wearing out other areas. The reinforcement in the sides has been extended but not far enough. Overall however one of my favourite model of shoe for trail running.
Got these on sale for a gift. The recipient was stoked! They look awesome but are so comfortable and supportive. He kept saying it makes him feel like running haha A+

True to size with a fairly generous toe box. of size 10.Second pair of Asics bought for my husband for trail walking,The colours are quite funky but understated.He is extremely fussy about trainers, most brands hurt his feet but these are perfect, no pinching or rubbing at all.Asics are my own 'go to' brand for walking and I think I have converted my husband now!
