Product DetailsOur approach for the GT-1000 12 shoe was to modernize the shape and make it more comfortable. It's designed for an active lifestyle and is functional for running or wearing it to the gym. The shoe is reimagined with a soft mesh upper, a new heel shape, and a more comfortable sockliner. LITETRUSS technology is placed on the midsoleās inside angle to reduce pronation. It helps produce a more supportive stride while keeping overpronation at bay.

Very comfortable trainer and looks good too! Fantastic purchase šš¼

Totally agree. Their best shoes were made in Vietnam. They also fall apart and wear out more quickly

My previous GT-2000 for women wasn't a good fit for my wide feet/long toes, changed to men's version this time which is wider and 0.25cm longer and they fit perfect. Chose GT-1000 this time for financial reasons. Not as good cushioning as Kayano or GT-2000, but still a very good option. I'm happy.

Very comfortable and supportive but grip isn't great
I almost never do reviews unless im really unhappy. Im a long time Asics wearer. I have never failed to find a nice new decent pair of asics shoes in one form or another over the years. But ever since the 1000 9 the new shoes have never fit me the same. The shoes are all shorter and narrower in the toebox and for me that doesnt work. I have big feet. 13 extra wides are the bare minimum for me w/ asics and both the length and width seem to have been cut by 1/4" at least (measuring the midsole). Inter model variation you say? I have, WITHOUT FAIL been able to purchase older 1000 9's and OOTB they have fit me like a glove EVERYTIME (new model would be the 4th time ive bought them). A bit more snug than id prefer but very wearable and i have walked in them for years. ...Ā MoreI almost never do reviews unless im really unhappy. Im a long time Asics wearer. A bit more snug than id prefer but very wearable and i have walked in them for years. After that date the new models instantly were too narrow in the toebox. I have tried 1000 10s, 1000 11's and now 1000 12's and they all feel the same terribleness on my toes w/ the same shorter mold. Some people may be fine, but the mold shift means i cannot even buy Asics anymore due to this. Maybe 14's would fit, but then it'd likely be too long and too wide. Not sure. All in all asics has chosen to penny pinch rather than make their customer base happy. Seems to be the norm these days anyways. I am very frustrated and as a result they will very likely lose a long time life customer as a result. Be warned that these models have changed.
Sturdy but comfortable. True to size. Great value.
Look nice and can feel the difference with the pronation support.
