I picked up running 4 years ago, and with my first ASICS - Gel Contend 5, I was hooked! This year, I decided to upgrade to the Cumulus 24. The materials and the construction are definitely a step up. The ride is amazing! Cushioned impact. Springy lift-off with padding evenly distributed in the ball and toes of the foot. Hammock-like support in the heel and arch. It is near perfection...I have wide feet and I wish the X-wide offered a wider toe box - even another 1.5 mm of mesh would have been welcomed. (The Gel Contend 5 is one ASICS model that has a wider toe box than its siblings.) A final note to ASICS - please make sure to pay attention to the the adhesion and transition points of the shoe's midsole materials and uppers - for a luxe shoe, it should be a bit ... I bought mine January 21 when I joined the local running club to achieve 5k. I was running about 15k per week and I loved them. So comfortable and great colours and styling. I stopped using them about June when the weather got to hot for running and have taken it up again for the last 2 months. My only complaint is that I always wear a hole in the right foot by my big toe. I have ASICS that I use at leisure centre classes that have the same problem. I will say I have very cared for toenails so I don’t consider it my fault. By my calculations I have only done about 300 miles in them and I would be very surprised if they lasted another 200 miles which is the average expectation

Great cushioning for straight ahead walking or maybe a slow jog. Not for quick changes of direction. Not much lateral or pronation / supronation support. if you need that try Kayanos.Still relatively supportive. When Asics discontinued 4E super wide a few years ago, I tried Brooks' Ghost which had the 4E width's I needed when I used my orthotics. They were ok, but now that Asic's offers the Gel-Cumulus 24 in 4 E again I can see a big difference with the Cumulus 24 being markedly superior.

Amazing running shoes! The cushioning is the right amount to be supportive and provide comfort. The fit is perfect and not too narrow. Good grip on the pavement even in wet weather. I also like the reflective strips on the back, the shoes are stylish and look good. I have nothing bad to say about the product!I was originally sent a worn and dirty pair of trainers, obviously I was disappointed but I was happy with how my complaint was dealt with, quickly and efficiently.I will never shop anywhere else for my running shoes!!
It is a pair of high mileage shoes that actually cost a bit less than shoes like the nimbus. They are particularly comfortable if you have wide feet or prefer a bit more room in your toe box. This has been fantastic for my mild bunion toe! Or if you have wide feet and looking for a pair of versatile anf every day trainer, lool no further!
Great shoes, better customer service. I had a small issue with a previously purchased pair, so I wrote to ASICS customer service team. They handled the issue quickly and professionally. I purchased these shoes with my credit and have worn them in a medical clinic setting for about a month and they are great. Very comfortable and light. I had the Cumulus 23 before and this show is superior. The 23s were great, too. Good job, ASICS.
Ive been wearing varations of the asics cumulus and nimbus for the last 10 years. Once again these shoes are great they fit snuggly, hardly any wear in time and control my feet and ankle stike when running. The only criticism i have of the shoe is that the breathable mesh outer is very soft and weak and i am getting less and less wear time out of these shoes whilst doing HIIT style and gym trainin with each model.Wear occurs onnthe outside of the pinky toe and on top of the big toe.
I keep buying GEL-Cumulus every year for several years now. Quality remains strong and innovation makes each new pair better than the last. Uppers can outlast 1 year although insole is kaput at roughly 600km. Replacement innersole extend shoe life to 1200km+ for me.
Nice shoe but I had to return them as they were very badly finished. There were gaps between the gel and the material of the shoe were they hadn't been glued properly. I could put my nail into some of the gaps. Very disappointed. I would expect better quality especially at this price point!
Owned the previous Cumulus version and this came pretty close - which is always a concern when you find a shoe that you like. I purchased again because of the cushion. 4 stars instead of 5 because my previous Cumulus shoes developed holes in the sides after two years, and it looks like the same thing will likely happen to this pair.
