My second pair of this make and model. Great for outside running and on the treadmill. Fantastic cushion on the back foot strike, they allow me to go into the 'runner's zone' without having to think about the shoes at all - very light. They do not feel big or clunky at all for shoes that provide so much cushion and comfort and provide all this while still feeling like a 'limber' shoe. Was a Nike guy my whole life but now I buy just Asics - greatly prefer the gel shoes to the air shoes. One note: I am normally a 10 across the board but took 10.5 with these.

Black layer on heel has come loose

After I used it for the first time the back side soft black layer has come loose and split from the counter upper black part surrounding the complete heel. It looked to me as a sort of quality issue potentially linked with poor gluing or short of injection molding. I doubt if this is a common issue seen on all trainers produced so far or applies only for specific batch produced by the site. I returned my order already and asked customer service to initiate an investigation with the factory perhaps involving R&D since its obvious that there is something wrong either with design or process parameters on that particular heel area of these trainers shoe.

Very stylish and quite a different feel from the Cumulus 23 I know and love. They seem more cushioned and also faster with a less relative perceived effort.Hugged my feet (lockdown) so not as much movement as in my older 23's but this may be down to newness.I'll do around 200 miles before I wear them for the Brighton Marathon in April 2024.My only issue with Asics Cumulous is they let the water in. Expect wet feet from puddles and running in the rain . The uppers should always be Gore-Tex which the more expensive GTX versions are.

Comfortable Shoes
31 October 2023

This is a lightweight comfortable shoe. I’ve tried several Asics’ shoes and this one is my favorite. This is a good all around comfortable shoe, whether it’s walking or running. The sole has a nice bounce, the fit is good, (not too tight), and great comfort. Not sure how it will hold up, but my previous Gel-Cumulus shoes are still doing well two years later. I bought these and like them more than my previous pair. I highly recommend these shoes. Your feet will thank you.

Genuine Groundwork Footwear
2 December 2023

Optimal and well. Really, the footwear is balance and support on heel quickness and I like these. The found truth is the front base is squiggly or a bit lean. I am a proud client of ASICS, will make my third purchase by my Birthday again in 2024. The note to know, they handle the terrains on my home premises; the length of time is how I level up the formation of foot steps to agree with my Iwatch from Apple. Godspeed and dear grace in stairways to heaven. Thanks to my son Junior for the inspirations.

Good, just keeping eye on some things
19 March 2024

Got these having had Cumulus 20s which I loved before retiring them.Bought same size but these feel a bit tighter at the front. After 61km, the heel is still a bit stiff and I need to make sure I wear the right socks to prevent rubbing.Running felt good, they're light and well cushioned, but I'm keeping an eye on my feet rolling as it looks like it's a bit more exaggerated than usual, though I'm not feeling any effect.Did notice this morning that they didn't feel as spongy on a tarmac climb, but it came back on the downhill. Not something I've noticed in a shoe before (the sudden, noticeable difference) so I'll be keeping an eye on that.Overall I'm enjoying them, just noticing a few things that I wouldn't expect from a regular workhorse shoe. Also, longer ... MoreGot these having had Cumulus 20s which I loved before retiring them.Bought same size but these feel a bit tighter at the front. I work on my feet, and these are great.
6 March 2024

I thought the best shoes I ever bought were the Brooks Ghost running shoe. I still defend those, but these compete. The upper is breathable and comfortable, while the soles are solid and supportive. I have high arches and walk a lot during the day, so it's vital to have a solid base. These might be a touch on the firm side, depending on what you need, but they felt great from minute one. Normally I use the lack lock for more comfort and stability, but these don't need it. If you're an under pronator with serious arches, I'd wager you'll be pretty happy with these.

Like them so much - I got three pairs!
8 December 2023

I think these are really great daily trainers - so much so that I’ve stocked up on them for when my current pair are worn out. Perhaps could be a touch lighter but given that they actually have good grip underfoot, I think the balance is fine on that front. Super comfy for runs and shorter periods of casual use, with zero heel slippage - at least on my foot. For full day use I think the thinnish tongue causes a touch too much lace bite. You’d probably want to look elsewhere if you take running seriously enough to have ‘a rotation’ but if you’re a twice a week 5-10k type like me, these are perfect.

Really comfy but no arch support
23 June 2024

I bought these for general gym use - so far so good! They’re really light, comfy, bouncy to walk around in, and really flexible when on the cross trainer and rower. A small issue for me is they don’t support my feet enough under the arches so my feet and knees collapse in a bit. A bit annoying as I’d hoped to wear them for jogging too, but would definitely injure myself if I did. I’ve had earlier models of these that were fine, I don’t know what has changed. I’d say if you have quite high feet arches, don’t buy these ones.

Superior with injured left ankle for work all day
23 February 2024

I have injured my left ankle back in 2008 but not fully recovered ever since. It still occasionally hurts if I on my feet for 10-12 hours daily, so I really have to watch that I have a proper support around my ankle and heel. I also wear orthopedic insoles for work, so it is necessary to have enough room to fit them in my shoes. I previously bought a gel-cumulus running shoes 4-5 years ago, and it is truly one of the best trainers I ever had, but the rubber sole now is starting to wear off, so I wanted a similar one. The cushioning even better than the old one, feels more comfortable. A very good all-rounder, very much recommended by all means.
