What's more, this plastic is glued to the front inside the shoes, so the inside seam folds and wrinkles right at the front.

I normally have difficulty in getting the right shoes, as my feet are quite broad at front. For years I have had to make do with ill fitting shoes, that made any kind of work out a chore. My son recommended that I buy ASICS and hence I went online and made the order. My purchase arrived in 3 days! That was super quick, especially since I live in regional Victoria. Once I tried my shoes on, all my worries disappeared, as they fit my feet perfectly, are very light weight and very comfortable.

Great Shoe, needed to go up half a size to really get the correct fit. Check their website, says I can return gently used footwear for store credit. Right there ON THE RETURNS PAGE. I’ve gone for TWO runs and my toe was touching the front of the shoe on the downhills. I’m thinking, Perfect, I’ll go to the outlet near me and switch it for half a size up. The outlet manager says my shoes are, and I quote, “road-tested” and not “gently used” and I cannot return them for any credit because “[he] can’t resell them.” Despite showing him the return policy, which says none of this, I leave there with my too small shoes and a strong sense of disappointment.Oh, but it gets better. I then call the customer service number to confirm that this is indeed the policy and the rep informs me that even gently used footwear, if ever actually worn, is not eligible for return or credit of any sort. When directed to THEIR OWN WEBSITE’S RETURN PAGE, the rep continued to say that not only were my shoes not returnable, he couldn’t even find the passage that stated that gently used footwear wear returnable for store credit if returned within 30 days of purchase to an ASICS brick and mortar.https://www.asics.com/us/en-us/customer-service/return-policy/It’s paragraph 6 under full returns policy.Regardless of the shoe fit, this pathetic display of customer service is disappointing, as ASICS has a long record of being supportive of the run community and health initiatives. The fact that I cannot try a shoe and return it after only two short runs is counter to what ASICS used to stand for. I recognize that a multi-national corporation would derive only the smallest iota of financial benefit from my patronage, but they will no longer, as apparently the direction ASICS is going is away from the average runner.Caveat Emptor. Find a company that cares about keeping you as a customer.

I purchased these on pre-order hoping to really love them, because I love the Cumulus 25s. Unfortunately, I didn't. So, if you love the Cumulus 25s and were hoping these would be better (like me), unfortunately you'll probably be let down. The toe is much more narrow and to me they were not as soft and bouncy as they are described. I was hoping to use them for race day and ended up sticking with my 25s instead. It's also disappointing that ASICS does not have a return policy for used shoes even though they sell "road tested" shoes - despite them saying that they want us to be "completely satisfied with our purchase" especially when brands like Nike and Hoka offer these policies.
This is my 5th pair of Gel-Cumulus in 15 years… Yes, I’m a huge fan of the Gel-Cumulus and this is by far the best version I’ve tried. Already over 130km clocked in and still loving them as much. They look bulkier than the previous versions but, once they are on your feet you don’t feel them. Appreciate the fact that no break in was required at all (wasn’t the case with other Gel-Cumulus in the past). Intense feeling of comfort with plush padding and an extra padded tongue. Feels like sliding into comfy slippers. Snug feeling and feet don’t move. The nice surprise is how responsive they are when you want to accelerate even at the end of a long run. They tend to dry quickly after a run in the rain (I live in Ireland). They tend to dry quickly after a run in the rain (I live in Ireland). I had initial doubts on the outer sole but, the grip on dry and wet surfaces has proven just fine. I’ll be using them for easy 5-10km runs, recovery runs and long runs. I would recommend the Gel-Cumulus 26 for all distances including marathons. Rule of thumb, I always go for one size above my normal shoe size to allow my feet to swell. Never had a single blister in 15 years. To conclude, this shoe is a solid daily trainer now with a “rockered” smooth ride.
The sides of the shoe come up high against the ankle. After only 1 mile of running I noticed hot spots on the outside ankle on both feet, which caused discomfort and blistering. Unfortunately, Asics' return policy does not allow returns if worn. So, I am out $140 and have a pair of shoes that are unwearable. Adjusting the lacing did not help the fit/issue.It is unfortunate as I preordered the shoe and was looking forward to the updates in this version. The outsole/midsole felt smooth on the run, but the upper did not work at all for me.
I bought these to try in my shoe rotation based on a lot of popular reviews. I can honestly say these are now one of my favorites. The Asics stays soft and comfortable through the entire run, and are probably some of the most comfortable shoes in general. My favorite part I have found with the Asics shoes are the area under the ball of the foot stays soft for your entire run. Almost every other shoe I have doesn't do this as well as the Asics. These are great for long, easy, daily, or recovery runs. The fit and feel is superb.
Best running brand, they will take care in there shoes. And you see the effort they put in to making these fantastic running shoes. You really do get what you pay for. Asics now has a new customer and a happy one. The main issue I was having was fatigue in my legs and cramps under my feet after doing a long run. So I brought these and I've not had any issues like that since, the cushion is fantastic and just what you need what doing 10k or Half marathon. Because it's about endurance not speed. So far they have performed brilliantly. Asics really know what there doing. Some people might look at the price and think....oh it's alot, but trust me it's worth it. If your serious about running you need to invest in them. I will no longer go to Puma or Adidas etc will only ... MoreBest running brand, they will take care in there shoes. I had bought the 25 version and they were fantastic for me…more plush and wider toe box than expected. I decided to give the 26’s a try as a result. It feels like a completely different shoe. It was more narrow, lighter fabric that doesn’t feel like it will last, and less cushion. I wore them for awhile hoping they would improve after breaking in but they didn’t. Disappointed. Just found another pair of 25s and ordered that.
I’m 68 years old and somewhat overweight, but I enjoy walking 4-5 miles every day. This is a good, well made shoe, just not for my particular foot problem. The shoe aggravates a sensitive area on the outside of my left foot. I can only walk about 1.5 miles before the pain becomes unbearable. I understand this is a difficult medical issue to resolve and, so far, I’ve only found one shoe that works well enough for me to meet my walking goals. Unfortunately, this shoe isn’t it.
