The GEL-NIMBUS 24 running shoe continues to offer excellent comfort and long-run impact absorption. Its improved stability provides a more balanced stride that's followed by smoother transitions. Constructed with comfort and breathability in mind, the upper features a softer engineered mesh design for long runs. Engineered eyelet shaping helps the upper move more naturally with the foot, while a stretchy midfoot panel appropriately hugs the foot to generate better flexibility. Providing the runner with excellent shock absorption and softness, the GEL-NIMBUS 24 delivers more compression in the heel thanks to its softer GEL technology cushioning unit and contoured design lines. Also, a gender-specific TRUSSTIC device provides an articulated amount of support in the right direction for men and women to help generate a smooth transition. Under the toe, the inclusion of gender-specific pillars help cushion the body and help runners experience a softer feel. Simultaneously, the ORTHOLITE X-55 sockliner equips runners with a forgiving, yet responsive stride. The components of the GEL-NIMBUS 24 shoe help increase the softness without forgoing the integrity of the shoe's ride. Our 24th version of the GEL-NIMBUS continues to make advancements within the lineage by offering improved support and comfort for distance runners.

I purchased a pair of Nimbus 24 one month ago and have walked about 150 miles. The tread material and design make a lot of noise when walking. Previous designs were much quieter. One shoe appears to have a manufacturing defect with the heel cup. Previous pairs I wore and the other shoe of my current pair have the heel cup enclosed in the side padding. The outter side of the problem shoe does not have any padding covering the hard heel cup. As a result, the heel cup is bruising the ligament/tendons below the ankle bone causing significant pain. The hard heel cup also feel bigger compared to Nimbus 23 shoes.

I have been wearing Asics for many years now. I began to wear them when I developed plantar fascitis. I healed within a few months and I only wear Asics for walking or being on my feet for extended periods of time. These are very comfortable, have a good arch support and are very well cushioned. I ordered these just before my Disney World vacation so I wore them for the first time there. I walked in these and another new pair of Asics Nimbus 22 for a week. We logged over 50 miles in that time and my feet did not hurt at all. So happy with these. I wear a wide width and these are one of the few shoes that fit me well. Highly recommend.

I want to start off by saying I'm a huge fan of Asics. I've been buying them for over a decade as my go-to running shoes. I regularly recommend them to anyone who asks. After this purchase I probably won't anymore...For starters, the shoes are not wide by any means. They're standard shoe width even though they're marketed as wide. They're also made of incredibly flimsy material. The shoe tongue isn't even a real shoe tongue it's so thin. I previously had the Gel-Nimbus 23 and they were significantly better. I wore these shoes on a single 2 mile walk and they are already falling apart. I also experienced leg pain I haven't experienced with any shoes before. I am truly in shock at how horrible these shoes are.

Since I had a great experience with Nimbus 23, I decided to buy the Numbus 24 and it has exceeded my expectations. I bought the Nimbus 24 in size 11 - Wide. Initially the width of the fit was a bit tight, but after I walked with them a few times the fabric stretched a bit and are now very comfortable. I am over 65 yr old and jog 3 times a week on the streets of NJ about 4+ miles/day and walk 3+ mile/day the non-running days so put about 35+ miles on them a week. I have had the Nimbus 24 for a month now and they are extremely comfortable. Although some reviewers had issue with the stretchy tounge, it was fine with me, and I actually prefer it to the old version. I am a 74 year old former racer (in the 1970s and 80s) now just running for fitness. I do 30 miles a week, 7 days a week. I have been an ASICS fan for decades. Lately I have been using the Cumulus series and have been happy with then except that the tread design picks up too much grit running on my local trails. I thought that the more open tread design of the Nimbus would be cleaner. I was also attracted by previous comments about good cushioning. When I first tried them on I found that they were a bit narrower than the Cumulus and I wasn't impressed with the thin, stretchy tongue. I prefer a padded tongue. Other than that they were fine. I have run in them twice so far and I have to agree that they have noticeably better cushioning than the Cumulus series. I'm 170lb, 10 to 11 min/mile runner going through marathon training. For my long runs over 18 miles, I've tried Nike Invincible Run and Skechers GoRun Maxroad 5, both of which featured widely publicized super foam midsoles, but just didn't work out due to issues such as blisters, fit, or ride quality.Nimbus 24 so far proven to have just as good in terms of cushioning, but with superior upper and ride. I'm free of the same problems with those previous shoes. Nimbus 24 has bouncy Blast Plus midsoles, has the right amount of flexibility in the forefoot, while being very consistent in cushioning and ride. The semi-exposed Trussitc bar provided just the right amount of stability through my gait cycles. I'm not sold on the stretchy tongue, as I found myself needing to pull it form time to time to maintain the same comfort. But still, the upper is supremely comfortable, and all of those quality have convinced me to donate the Nike and the Skechers. I highly recommend Nimbus 24. I don't really have wide feet but have read other reviews about narrower fit, and Wide turned out to be the right choice.
I wear Asics Nimbus gel trainers all day, every day. Been wearing them for the last decade with a pair lasting on average 8-12 months. Since Asics changed to a narrower last a few years ago, I have to wear the wide fit 2E size now. I find them extremely comfortable, and always have a new pair in reserve. It's a shame that they have become so much more expensive, as although they are great trainers they are not as well made as Asics of old. I used to wear them till the soles had worn through, but the last four pairs have worn through inside, either through the mesh by my toes or through the insoles. Not found better for my feet though.
I've been buying Nimbus 2E wide for many years now so didn't hesitate to buy a pair through the Asic's website. However, these are, by some margin, not as wide as they used to be. Normally they fit straight from the box and I understand shoes can be tight when you first put them on BUT I couldn't even get my foot in the shoe properly. A real shame as I loved all past incarnations of the Nimbus. The one star is for the service received trying to return them. Links not working, generated label not printing or even showing, email not answered. I don't know where to return them because they won't tell me! So much for being a one Asic's member...
I've tried just about every major brand of sneaker there is and at 250lbs and flat feet the foundation is everything! Other brands have caused foot, ankle or knee pain during and after extended eliptical, walks or standing for prolonged hours. The Asics 24 is the only shoe that has COMPLETELY eliminated all of these issues! It is perfect in every way. Fitment, cushion, feedback, responsiveness and build quality! I am so completely satified and impressed that I bought 7 pairs! Thank you Asics for going the extra mile in research and development to produce the perfect shoe! 5 BIG STARS!
I have to be honest, the quality of Asics sneakers is appalling to me and keeps getting worse. Every pair I've had starts to disintegrate after a couple months (disclosure: I walk 5-6 miles almost daily). I've had a few start ripping after 2 five mile walks (in those cases I was given credit for new pairs) . All that said, I have kept buying them over and over because I have a foot issue (neuroma) and they're the only ones that consistently fit and don't give me foot pain (New Balance and Hoka are worse). This pair is just unbearable. There's basically no tongue, just a thin stretch band. I thought it was a defect at first but now assume it's some kind of feature. They're looser than all the other countless prior pairs I've had, so it's not keeping my neuroma stable ... MoreI have to be honest, the quality of Asics sneakers is appalling to me and keeps getting worse.
